I made it out there today! It was the first golf event I have attended. It was awesome being just feet away from the players and it was a gorgeous day! The wind certainly made number 6 challenging. I didn't see any 2nd shots hold the green, and a couple made it into the gallery.

Both my wife and I were very impressed, and will be back!

I hope Els plays well again tomorrow!

What got into Ernie's head near the end of today's play? He has a five-shot lead, then goes double bogey-bogey before play is suspended. Now, he has to play the last four holes tomorrow with Na ahead of him knowing exactly what he has to do to make those last two strokes up.

Does anyone know how Nick Watney made an 11 (!) on the par-5 sixth hole? That screwed over my Fantasy team a little bit (though I still have Ernie ).

I think its lucky for Els that play was suspended, because Na was gaining momentum and he was losing it. Tomorrow he can start fresh, and break the 'rythm' he had going into the stoppage. This will probably be a bane for Na, and a boon for Els.

lol, not really, I just feel that it is kinda hard to play so well for consecutive weeks. It is a long season and everybody will have a bad week here and there. I am just hoping that Ernie hasn't peaked too early before the Masters.

ok, I apologize. I wasn't trying to focus on stats, I was just worrying that whether Ernie has peaked too early. Stats mean nothing, like you said, I was trying to be funny, but it didn't work. Sorry everybody.

      First - glad to see these popping up again. Now to the topic at hand - I would rather be option 1.  If I know how far it's going (I mean a yard or two) I can always play to the wider parts of the fairway and/or the green and still do reasonably well.  Now if I could just really hit the "number" that well.

      Day 2 (10 Mar 25) - Long day of driving to dr appt with son.  Thankfully got in one of my fave putting drills (two ball side by side) - the goal to have both balls come off the putter face equally by having them come off the putter face as close to the same time as possible.  First few rolls - the toe was leading the way as that ball flew off the face.  By the end of the drill both balls were basically equal off the face, rolling to within a couple of inches of each other.  Nice drill of focusing on squaring the face.  BTW - I was using the old Odyssey DF992.

      Day 161 - 2025-03-10 Got a decent, long session in. Focused mostly on the backswing feels, and moved on toward the end of the four hours (not all hitting balls, I installed a motion sensing light switch in there too, and worked with a student over FaceTime for a bit) on the downswing feel.
