Picked up a brand new Yes! Marilyn on ebay for $60, just needed a headcover ($11). Excellent value.

Some more good options are the Adams A7, and, if you can find an old one used, the Nike Unitized. The Unitized is one milled putter that never held it's resale value.

The Scotty Camerson Circa 62 putters are a real bargain on eBay, I see them going for less than $150 all the time. IMHO, I don't think you can find a softer feeling milled putter on the market than the Circa 62 line.

How about a traditional Bullseye? They work just fine for me, and when they don't I switch to a mallet putter.

They show up on a regular basis at rummage sales for under $10, last one I picked up cost me $3.

I will chime in with the Bullseye. I have the heavy blade Bulleye. I have tried other putters and still do not see the difference, so why spend the big bucks, just to watch my ball trickle off to the left of right of the hole? Hey, you missed your putt. Yes, but this $150 putter is supposed to drill the cup!

I just recently purchased the Odyssey White Ice #9 Putter and I love it. That style putter has always appealed to me throughout my golfing career and it something that I feel very comfortable with. It just depends on what works the best for you and how much you are willing to spend.

The pics of the old Zebra putter bring back memories, I used one of those for awhile!

If you want a milled face, the Cleveland Classic Series is pretty hard to beat for value. Great putter for $70!

If you want an insert, the Odyssey White Hot XG Series is a good value for under $100.

Both of these putter lines have a half dozen different head styles to choose from.

I own a ton of putters, several scotty's, a bettinardi, a couple of RIFEs, etc. I have three putters that are nearly identical in shape and style, a Cameron California Del Mar, my Bettinardi Studio Stock 4, and a Cleveland Classic 2. The Del Mar was $300, the Bettinardi was $365 and the Cleveland was $60. I can tell you with 100% honesty that the Cleveland is every bit the putter the other two are. Not as pretty, but just as effective. I put on a daily basis with the Bettinardi, but if the greens are sanded, like they are now, the Cleveland gets the nod. Unfortunately for the OP they dont make a straight shafted center shaft model. I would go with one of the RIFEs for that type.

^Great putter. I've practised with one of them and loved it. I think that'll probably be my new putter when I buy my set in the summer, as I don't have the money to get one now.

I really like my Nike Oz Mallet. I haven't putted with the Method putter, but who the heck can afford one?! Just make sure you put the head cover back on it when not putting because the paint chips easily...

Just received mine in the mail yesterday and it has quickly replaced my old Odyssey white hot putter.

Definitely an absolutely great putter for just $99.

I have tried so many putters. What I started working on was focusing on my technique.

Although the mallets are great, as a high handicap person, like me, is served better with a less forgiving putter.

I have improved by using an old a

FYI, I just picked up a Mizuno/Bettinardi BC1 @ Golfsmith for $99.

I also just picked up this putter from Golfsmith and I echo his sentiments. I finally was able to practice with it outside and not on artificial turf within the store and it's a pretty sweet feeling putter. It really does feel like there's a soft inset in the middle, even though its milled and one piece. I tried it last year and liked it, but like you, didnt really feel like spending $250 on a putter. Now that it was $99, I was willing to take a look at it again, and i'm not dissapointed. I've included a review that I found online at the following address:

I went from an Anser2 to a Nickent Pipe. The Pipe has really helped with my alignment and I like the feel off the club face better. It's also quite a bit heavier which helps keep my hands steadier. Nickent Pipe is a great putter for high handicappers or someone that struggels with alignment.

    • I tried hybrids way back when TaylorMade introduced the copper orange Firesole Rescue, the clubhead having been made of titanium which was still relatively new even in drivers back then. I couldn't hit it well at all, and while the success of hybrids suggests that the modern ones must be quite good,  I'm perfectly happy with the 5, 7, and 9-woods.  Early ones of mine were Top Flite Intimidator 400s made by Spalding... and also made of titanium, now that I think of it.  I still have them in my basement. I do bag a driving iron, but it's a one-trick-pony that never sees fairway use.
    • The last time I played Maxfli balls, Dunlop was still making them. How long ago was that? Mostly, though, I used to play Top Flites (original 336 dimple model) when Spalding was still making them. Now I play the Pro V1x. Last time that I ordered some, Titleist was still making them. Let's see how long that lasts.
    • Once, on a course in Middleton, Massachusetts that I used to love but has since closed down,  I hit the wrong half of a huge, UK style double green.  Then I made the hundred foot putt.  Tough to  forget that one.
    • No. But if I can still play next year, I'll almost certainly be even worse. That's the reality of not being young.🙁
    • I use GPS;  it may not be as accurate, but neither am I.
