I'm a confessed Tiger fan. Just so you know where I am coming from. I've watched him closely over the years. I think he messed up with his last two coaches..going from bad, to worse. The good thing was he was the strongest mental player in the game and could clean up after himself. With his mental game suffering, the mess they have made of him is showing. .Great people do bad things and crazy things. If Daley did what Tiger did, we would grin about it. They built Tiger into something he wasnt and for that matter, no one could be. All in the name of manipulation of the audience for the "sale" and their own promotion. They-PGA, TV/Golf Channel/ promoters/advertisers. The glass house had to come down at some point as there is no Mr Perfect. That being said, it takes time to get the head game. Good luck to the greatest and I hope he finds a coach that "understands" the man and his game. My opinion, but Iv'e heard many a warrior share this same sentiment. He needs to forgive himself and try to do better. Cant change the past buddy-but learn to play the hand you have. Your greatest strength is also your greatest weakness.

Anybody see today's footage where they replayed Phil putting yesterday and his caddie was not tending the flag? They eluded to the fact on TV that Phil did it as a form of protest against the greens at the course? He said 18 is the worst on tour except for 12 which is even crappier. (not a quote but something to that effect)

So I ask WTF???

This has got to be one of the most enjoyable tournaments I've ever seen. Lots of action every day. Unfortunately Tiger provided the wrong kind of action, but that's OK, lots of top ranked players fighting on the back nine on sunday. Outside the majors, this is absolutely one of the best.

The Green Mile, hole 16, 17 and 18 can bring even more drama before this is over. Rory just starting his mile now.
Just fantastic play by Rory, currently 8 under for the day.

Q. Why did you have Bones leave the flag in for that first putt? You scared me.

PHIL MICKELSON: There was no way to get the ball anywhere near the hole, so I had to play 10 feet to the right and just try to get it about pin high, and I felt the pin would help me with depth perception, which it did. I ended up getting it down there as close as possible. For as beautifully designed as this golf course is tee to green, the greens are by far the worst designed greens we play on TOUR. Even though they're in immaculate shape, I would say that 18 would be the worst green that we have on TOUR, except that it's not even the worst on this golf course; 12 is.

McIlroy is putting on a clinic this afternoon. In the fairway bunker on the toughest hole on the course? He'll get to under 5 feet for birdie, thank you.

Well, there are plenty of 'Tiger-Fanboys' on this site...I'm sure someone has a decent excuse for him....

Is there such a thing as a golf intervention? We might need your help!

Tiger who? Seriously, someone who can't order a celebratory drink in this country yet just shot a 62 to win. Why are people so willing to dwell on the distant past?

Wow, what a win by McIlroy. It was quiet a show by Rory and this tournament still turned out to be a great one to watch even though Tiger missed the weekend. AK got his first victory on this course also, so Rickie Fowler could be the next one and Rickie played well this week also. It is great to see that we have some young stars like McIlroy, AK, and Fowler coming up. Phil played well again and should win a few more tournaments this year, but Rory was just too good today.
