For me, it came down to price. My MP 57s were on a clearance sale at a local golf store here and I was SUPER lucky to get the last set they had on the shelf. I also helped that they are beautiful looking sticks that feel fantastic when hit on the screws....

howd you come up witht his conclusion?

http://www.todaysgolfer.co.uk/Golf/N...9-Wedges-Test/ this site begs to differ, showing Mizuno MX wedges as highest and the Nike VR's coming out to be rather low end average.

Well I do like TaylorMade and I have hit a lot of other clubs but these were all clubs I wanted to stick with because they felt good and the price was great.

My irons- TM Tour Burners, they feel amazing and I get great distance with these. I hit these about 6 or 7 times after demoing some clubs at the Golfsmith range and kept going back to these clubs; they felt amazing. The fact that I got them for 359.99 was a huge thing too. I already knew I wanted these but once I saw that I could get the floor model that was never touched with the plastic on the heads and handles, I knew I HAD to get them.

Driver- TM Burner 09. The price was a big factor but I hit this driver along with others and felt that this one just felt really smooth on contact and I just fell in love with it and didn't want to try anything else. 149.99 you can't beat it!

Putter - Yes Tracy. I found this at Edwin Watts and it was a heck of a deal about half off from regular price. It was used but you could not even tell that it even had an owner! I loved the feel of it and I was sinking more putts with this than any other putter in the shop.

I scored what I felt was a deal at the time, $150 to upgrade to Callaway Big Bertha's over my Dunlop set.
Nike putter I got a deal on locally for $30
Driver was a straight trade: my Nike Sumo2 5900 High launch for Taylormade R580xd. The Nike worked really well for me while I was building a swing but it was time to move on. My playing partner traded me and gave the Nike to his wife.
Wedges: still the Bertha's in the bag, but ordered a set of Adams Watsons 2010's for $65 from ebay. We'll see how they work out.

In my bag:

Nike SQ DYMO 10.5
Big Bertha 3 Wood
Big Bertha 3-10 IADAMS Tom Watson Classic 54,58 and 64 Wedges Nike Oz 5 Putter/Wilson Staff ( not sure model, bought it in second hand store ) Ball: Bridgestone E6

Driver ?

I go for Snakeyes since it was on discount on Golfsmith , it is a tour model , has adjustable weight and a unique black color driver. I already have the UST V2 shaft ( my fav ) handed down to me by my friend and it cost me about 110 USD total for the driver . I hit better with this driver compared to my old 905T.

Wood 3 / 585H - I was looking for players wood and hybrids with min offset . The review here also help me to make the selection.

Irons ? I was at the club fitters with a friend who was getting a KZG set . I tried them all and found the feel of the KZG ZO Blade is the best ! I got myself ( 3 to P . A , S ) . Recently i bid another identical set as a backup and traveling set, for the 1/5 of what i paid for a new set .

Wedge ? Bcoz of the brand / review / and the woods and hybrids in my bag.

Putter ? I m always a SC Fan...

From my driver down to my wedges, I tried the clubs, liked them, then bought them. I did a very thorough search for my irons, hybrid, and driver; not so much for my 3W and 58* wedge. I am a bit of a putter collector, and am very indecisive about the flat sticks. Just as with the longer clubs, I only buy putters which I have tried and work for me, I'm just a little more liberal with my credit card when it comes to putters.

In my C-130 bag:

Driver: G10 10.5*
3 Wood: Burner
Irons: G10 steel AWT shafts, silver dot, +1" (3-SW)Wedge: cg12 58*Putters: Squareback 2, California Coronado Low score (18 holes): 90Low score (9 holes): 42

    • Imma throw a dart in the dark as no one can tell what is happening once every fourth iron shot per your OP. This might sound counterintuitive but if ball position is too far back in the stance folks are known to throw down clubhead steeply. Could be happening. And yes, @billchaois not wrong; clubhead tends to bottom out wherever your pressure is. So slide forward (not sway), then hit.
    • Day 300 (!): did a stack session.
    • Day 24: Missed my weekly round due to a last minute little league makeup game this morning. Managed to get in some backswing rehearsals while grilling sausages for dinner, and then putted around the office/laundry room after dinner.
    • but I don't understand how that's possible you still want your head to stay back you don't want the upper body coming forward and plus I've tried feeling that and it made my fat shots worse and I then tend to pull and sky all my shots especially with driver because I get in front of it dont need force plates to see i finish on my left side
