Nike is developing and releasing a new ball this fall. Much like he did w/ the One Tour's, Tiger is using a prototype ball right now that will be released to you and I later this fall.

How do you know for sure he is? or are you just assuming this because he did it with the nike one tour a few years back? I checked the internet and cant find any info on it. btw you too are just throwing crap against the wall and hoping it sticks if you dont cite your source to back up what you say. I said I was guessing

My source is one that I choose not to disclose.

Look, it doesn't really matter to me what you believe or not. I'm passing along viable information that anyone can choose to believe or not. It's not really even that big of a secret that Tiger is using a prototype Nike ball right now. Nike has been developing a new ball for some time now. The release for the ball will be this fall.

I see, well it seems like a good guess dont get me wrong and it sounds like it could be true to me but honestly I dont think you have a good source that would set it apart from just throwing crap against the wall and hoping it sticks which you accused me of,lol. By the way Nike is developing a softer ball than the tour d from what I heard on golf channel and most of the tour players are going to switch to it because of the new groove rule. They had stuart cink talking about it with nike.

true, but we are talking about what ball tiger woods is using, This isnt government disclosed info or anything that should be protected. Like I said on the golf channel Nike had stewart cink and they were publically discussing a new nike ball that is softer for the new grooves rule. Most of the players using nike one tour d will switch to this softer ball they said.

This doesn't make sense.

Alright, I went back and read the Winner's bag columns on golf dot com and he did use the One Tour in 2009, but I'm not sure he started using them in 2007, I am almost positive he used the Platinums in the 2008 US Open. But you never can be sure because a lot of times they say he is using a "Tiger Spec" ball.

More Info Here

Woods still uses a One Tour, this ball marked with a star symbol between the two words. He started using it this week at Aronimink, most likely as part of his preparations for the British Open in two weeks at St. Andrews, where the wind is often a major factor.

Driver: Titleist TSR1 12*

5 Wood: Titleist TSR1 18*

7 Wood: Titleist TSR1 20*

9 Wood: Titleist TSR1 23*

6 Hybrid: Titleist TSR1 26*

Irons: Mizuno JPX900 5-P 24* - 45*

Wedges: Vokey SM8 50.12F, 56.14F

Nike Golf's official twitter page says Tiger used the Nike One Tour D...

Actually, no, it doesn't say he used the One Tour D this last weekend. It said he TRIED the Tour D and averaged 324 yards w/ it, but I'm assuming that was on a range or on a launch monitor.

Read the last part of the tweet. It says the Tour D has the same "construction" as the ball Tiger used last weekend. Reading between the lines there, the actual ball that he used was only SIMILAR to a Tour D and not an actual Tour D. Sure, Nike wants you thinking he used the Tour D because they want to sell golf balls. The actual ball Tiger used won't be released until this fall.

So any more info from your source? Like is it going to be a 4, possibly 5 piece ball? And what's the name? Nike One Tour has a nice ring to it..

He can't use any ball that's not currently on the USGA approved ball list.

Which I'm sure his prototype ball is... Look at the list. There are about a trillion (okay, I exaggerated slightly...

) models of Pro V1 on there.

the only nike one tour balls are the one tour, one tour D, and one tour TW. I guess the one he was playing is classified as the one tour TW?

No. And I can't/won't say anything about the ball. Sorry.

The ball Tiger was playing at the AT&T; isn't available to the public. It's not "classified" as anything.
