nice job! Ironic that I read this last night and then out of the blue ended up playing with some low cappers and + capper today. The + guy was interesting to watch, hit lots of bad drives, but his ability to recover was unreal. He shot even when all was said and done. I shot net 1 under and had a good day.

At a 3 handi..they are not that much better than you are. Just go play. You don't have to go out and shoot 69 or anything. Just play your normal game with a nice 76 or 77.

That is a serious drop in two weeks for an index. 2 points, that is really a big jump. Great playing.

thank you

What did the other guys in your group shoot?

not sure about the other two guys, but our asst, shot 74

At a 3 handi..they are not

Yea i relaized that after playing w them now

they hit hooks, slices, fatties etc...but the big difference is their ability to still make par mind you, I made some pretty clutch par's and bird's - up and downs were sick

yea i was suprized too

but the past 2-3 weeks i havent shot higher than 77 (and that was a terrible round for me) im only another two rounds in the 71-73 range to getting down under a 3 - ill make it happen soon enough goal for next year is a 2, so i can try to Monday qualify for a Canadian Tour event not trying to win anything, just wanna say i played (and got smoked) by the big boys on the block

Maybe it's being a high capper and not really knowing what I"m talking about but if I were a 3 or 4 I wouldn't be afraid to play with anybody. Congrats on the nice round.

This post is timely for me. I'm golfing with my boss tomorrow at his club. He is a 3 index. I've been able to avoid golfing with him for two summers now, but tomorrow's the big day.

I wish I could not care what he may or may not think of my game, but I do.

I'm all over the place with my scores. I don't even look at my handicap as a guide, really. I could go out and put up an 82 at a course I'm comfortable with and know, and then go out the next day to a course I don't know and put up a 105. So you just never know what you're going to get out of me. I'm worried about the latter happening tomorrow!

What I Play:

Driver: R9 460
4 Wood: G15

Hy: Callaway FT 3Hy

Irons: AP1 4-PW

Wedges: Vokey 52* & 60*, Mizuno MP-T 10 58*

Putter: Newport Studio Select 2.7

Ball: Nike One Vapor

Take him to that course where you shoot par all the time.

I should! I'd impress the hell out of him. With my luck, though, nerves would make me bogey every hole!

I was in your boat about a month ago. My boss' boss invited me out to his fancy schmancy private club, which was a very nice place. Him and another executive are 5 and 7 indexes, respectively. I honestly wasn't worried that I would stink the place up, but I did give it some thought. I told myself not to worry about it, otherwise I would stink the place up.

Anyhow, I ended up beating both of them with a pretty average score by my handicap standards They were really duffing it all over the place, while I went on a string of 5 pars in a row (personal best for me). I was much more average on the back 9, but still ended up with a decent score for my handicap (an 85 I think). My boss' boss shot an 88 and the other guy shot an 89 or 90. I don't know if there's a moral to the story or that of the OP's, but if anything it probably proves that it can be just as pressure-filled to live up to a good handicap as it can be to play against one.
