was watching golf channel propaganda tonight and saw a replay of david duval when he shot his 59. worst looking fist pumps i have ever seen.

theres also tiger and stevie messing up the high five. coordination, anyone?

i think the worst is those goons on the senior tour (i think) who look like they ended up with the aborted remnants of a flying chest bump and a high five. they show that clip all the time on golf channel also, dont know who they are (tom lehman maybe??)

What's funny is that they ALWAYS mess up their high fives. They're terrible at it. Absolute rubbish.

Considering Tiger's hand eye coordination has to be in the top .0001 percentile, it is pretty bad....but then again he is kinda a L7

And somehow it became the most iconic picture of Seve. I love how he celebrates, its just so pure and true.

The same with Payne Stewart after his US Open win.

Yeah the fist pump is over rated, especially the one tiger does. I usually just clench my fist by my side, something small, but gets me going.

Chi-Chi is great two with fencing with his putter.

Remember that look Tiger had in 2008 U.S. Open when his putt to force the playoff sank?

I didn't realize how weird it was until I tried it after making birdie on a par-5 the other day.

Larry Mize's celebration when he made the "playoff pitch" was pretty funny. He had a couple small jumps followed by random prancing and kisses to the sky.

They all beat the rehearsed and choreographed crap that passes for celebration in the NFL. At least in golf they're spontaneous.

I hate when TGC shows the montage with Duval's 59 celebrations, just looks stupid. I'm also no fan of Marcel Siem, German guy playing on the Euro Tour. He does this stupid celebration when a good putt rolls in for birdie.

I don't mind Tiger's fist pumping, it's like "Yeah, allright". While Siem is like "Take that bitch". Also, his haircut is ridiculous.

Talking about high fives...

I love the two guys in pink and yellow shirts celebrating in this video in the left corner at 3:20 on this clip:

    • It may not have been block practice, though, is one of the main points here. You may have been serving and from the same place, but you were likely trying to do slightly different things. It seems that would only be blocked practice if you were trying to hit the same exact ball hit to you to the same exact place in the far court. I'm not sure that's as random as if the ball that you're given to hit is at different places, too, but again…
    • I played tennis in college. I thought block practice was great for serves because you were starting the point and  you could easily adjust where you wanted to place the ball based off the same motion. I equate those to tee balls. I despised block practice for groundstrokes once you reached a certain level and your fundamentals were good. To me, hitting a 100 crosscourt backhands in a row was silly because I would never do that in a match. I needed to randomize it by hitting some deep, some angled, all with different speeds and spins. I share that same thought about iron play. Because we seldom hit the same approach shots hole after hole, I prefer to practice irons randomly.
