I dont think Rory or any player on the soon to be victorious European team fear Tiger, his Ryder cup record is average due to his inability to play for a team rather than himself, and more importantly having just given his x-wife 500 mil he is probably crying all the way to Vegas and the bed of a trashy hooker :) and of course will he make the team........ if i were CP i would not pick him as he would bring nothing to the team.

You are wrong. Tigers first major win was at the masters at the ripe age of 22 in which he won by 12 strokes. As for the talent factor, you all have seem to forgotten that tiger was a single digit capper before he turned 10 years old and was striping balls at 4.

Woods was 21, not 22. As far as Rory goes, he is every bit as polished at a young age as Sergio was. Sergio pushed Tiger to his limit at the 1999 PGA and that was as a 19 year old. But Woods showed his potential at the 1997 Masters. While Garcia was a more consistent ballstriker as a youngster, Woods was a better putter and when he got hot with the ballstriking, his potential was off the charts. I feel pretty confident in saying Rory will never win a major by 12 or 15 shots. That's not a knock on him, it's just the reality of the situation. When Woods' putter got hot, it got REALLY hot. Rory has great fundamentals and whatnot, but he lacks the magic that Woods had. Tiger just found a way to will the ball into the hole and that's why he had arguably the most dominant run in golf history.

TW just shot his best round of the year this morning, i wouldn't be so quick to count him out.

Rory won three U.S. Amateurs in a row?

Rory won the european amateur championship at 16 and was the best amateur in the world, of course its alot of ifs, hes 21, Im not saying he will certainly do it, Im saying he has the potential to do so. Im fairly certain he will fly past phil, ernie and vijays major record and stop comparing him to AK guys! lol

    • Agreed - only 5 players better than -4. Not quite alarm bells are ringing time just yet.
    • I don't really care what the winning score is. The best players still generally bubble up to the top. Also, second is three back. It's not like there are ten people within two shots of the lead.
    • Are these course getting easier? are the players getting better? should we not worry about tournaments that used to produce single digit winners are now producing course records year after year.  I am not talking roll back I am just curious why scores are so much lower than five to ten years ago.
    • I've posted plenty of positive things about Tiger over the years. I just like to play fair.  But if you want to see me praise TW some more here you go: 12 wins by 7 shots or more - Jack had 4 3 separate win streaks of 5 or more in a row - Jack won 3 in a row once It took Jack 172 more events and 9 extra years to reach Tiger's 71 wins by 2009 TW is the only player since 1900 to win a major by double digits and he did it twice 30% peak win rate is even higher than the previous record holder Ben Hogan (25%) 11 time PGA Tour Player of the year - Jack had 5 12 times lead the Tour in wins - Jack 6 10 times money list leader - Jack 8 Jack officially has 73 wins, but 2 of them are team wins with Arnie. You could argue he should be listed with 71 and I wouldn't disagree.
    • I mean that's clearly an opinion.  The funny thing is I never even attacked Tiger, I just pointed out that the other poster had a point when he mentioned that Jack had a longer career. Tiger basically had 5 years when he could have been winning more tournaments if not for his injuries. 2010-2011 and then again 2015-2017. Hard to make the argument after his final win because not many players win a ton after age 43.  If those numbers support the fact that Jack had a longer career so be it. Don't take that as an affront to Tiger.
