You mean the LPGA? I think you know: Because, whether for good or for bad, their ability to market themselves includes not just how well they play golf but on how good they look. If they all wore pants, TV ratings would drop like a stone, along with sponsors and prize money.

They can look as good or as bad as they want and there are both extremes on that Tour. I would say more extremes than on the PGA Tour.

Not sure what point you're making. I'm just saying sex sells, that's why LPGA players wear shorts. I'm not saying that's the only reason people watch the LPGA, I'm just saying it's a huge factor. And that it's hardly a factor at all for the men. (There might be a few coffee shop waitresses who prefer Tiger's shirts are as tight-fitting as possible, but that's about it.)

I was trying to subtly say that some of the women should consider wearing pants and that some of the outfits are out there. Yes, there are others that pull it off with no problem (no pun intended).

I know plenty marines that wont wear shorts and insist on ewaring 2 shirts when running/hiking here in hawaii and on the mainland. You actually stay cooler somehow. I cant. But I know my bro wears two shirts no matter what were doing and sweats a lot less. I grew up caddying at winged foot an dyou couldnt wear shorts. Caddies or members. I asked my mom once and she said Noone wants to see old Mr. Wyatts wrinkled legs. lol

I suppose those would technically be cargo pants, but theyr'e not the heinous creations that got banned. You know the ones you can wear to a barbecue and you don't need to bring a cooler. 6-pack of Coors in this pocket, barbecue sauce in that one, pickles anyone?

Heh, ok I see what you meant now. Yeah, on the PGA side, some of those guys might consider a girdle. Worked for William Shatner.

the ones in the picture are from the senior open earlier in the year. the ones he wore at the boeing classic looked like he was going hiking.

I got one - since men arent allowed to wear shorts but women are allowed in skirts, why dont men just start wearing skirts if you guys think thats such a urgent matter?

E.g -

- the sunday outfit would be a great match for Ian Poulters liking, and maybe Saturday fits well with Tiger? Alternatively they still could go the scottish route...

    • Are these course getting easier? are the players getting better? should we not worry about tournaments that used to produce single digit winners are now producing course records year after year.  I am not talking roll back I am just curious why scores are so much lower than five to ten years ago.
    • I've posted plenty of positive things about Tiger over the years. I just like to play fair.  But if you want to see me praise TW some more here you go: 12 wins by 7 shots or more - Jack had 4 3 separate win streaks of 5 or more in a row - Jack won 3 in a row once It took Jack 172 more events and 9 extra years to reach Tiger's 71 wins by 2009 TW is the only player since 1900 to win a major by double digits and he did it twice 30% peak win rate is even higher than the previous record holder Ben Hogan (25%) 11 time PGA Tour Player of the year - Jack had 5 12 times lead the Tour in wins - Jack 6 10 times money list leader - Jack 8 Jack officially has 73 wins, but 2 of them are team wins with Arnie. You could argue he should be listed with 71 and I wouldn't disagree.
    • I mean that's clearly an opinion.  The funny thing is I never even attacked Tiger, I just pointed out that the other poster had a point when he mentioned that Jack had a longer career. Tiger basically had 5 years when he could have been winning more tournaments if not for his injuries. 2010-2011 and then again 2015-2017. Hard to make the argument after his final win because not many players win a ton after age 43.  If those numbers support the fact that Jack had a longer career so be it. Don't take that as an affront to Tiger.
    • Just getting back into golf after a 30 year break from the game. Hoping to get some advice and insight on becoming a decent player.    Right now I'd be hard pressed to break 95
    • Even injured Tiger had a more impressive career than Jack against much stiffer competition. This was confirmed by Jack quite a few times. You want to ignore that, but it’s fact.
