There is a lot of 4000 vintage golf clubs on sale at E-Bay if anyone is interested in starting a store. Out of my price range unfortunetly. Here's the link if anyone is interested.

That really makes want to clean out my garage.

The market for old clubs is not nearly good enough to make a profit. If it took you a minute to catalog & photograph each club to prepare for online auction, it would take you over 16 weeks working 8 hours / day, 5 days / week to get it all ready.

The only way to buy that lot of junk would be to figure the scrap value of the steel and at $4 per club asking price, that seller is going to be stuck with it. Heck, transportation costs will be ridiculous.

Probably a used club store going out of business or retiring. Like Genericity, I would want it too, but could only give $50, so my bid would be rejected too.

$4/club. Wow. Something tells me the treasures have already been plucked out of there. Besides, for 160k, I could buy a golf COURSE!!!....and the truck it would take to haul all those!!!!!!! OK...I'm done! Sorry.

I doubt whether you could give away 99% of that junk pile.

In the race of life, always back self-interest. At least you know it's trying.

That's why I started dumping my collection of old Spalding Bobby Jones irons and woods. I saw what it was(n't) going for on ebay. I though, "if I get sick, somebody's gotta go through all this stuff - gonzo!"

Wishful thinking? Maybe a down-payment? Oh, just leave me alone. LOL

They'd probably better off donating all of it to The First Tee or some other charitable organization and getting a tax write off for it.

    • Day 8 (28 Jun 26) - Worked with face position at address and overall setup - open/neutral/closed - and setting up for resulting shot shapes - using 8i and hard foam balls.  It was abbreviated as the thunder began to rumble. Got in about 20 swings before calling it.
    • Tale of two swings.  Swing 1: Slightly outside takeaway (hands move outside of target line) only to allow trail elbow over collapsing at P4. Doesn't take much to overdo it for the trail elbow collapse to only further exaggerate. That's death. Swing 2: Hands stay slight in at takeaway for a much better trail elbow condition at P4. This is a hard sell from an instinct perspective. More focus on un-weighting and re-weighting of lead foot to unlock a bit more mobility of hips and torso. A major flaw that creeps up often is me swinging flat footed and becoming overly armsy-collapsy as a result. Got reminded of this the hard way during my 2nd round match for club net championship. Was cruising along 2up until I made the turn. Then lost the swing for next five holes. Andy was playing good enough to capitalize. By the time I regained my swing on 16th, it was too late. Even Andy was like "That was a gift". Obviously that stings because have played well enough lately. Should have closed him out of the game comfortably with a few holes to spare. Shoulda woulda coulda. Tough lesson. Damn. P.S. I know the swings look very similar but trust me there is a difference.
