Is Tiger now the king of final round low scores when he's out of it? Good gried he should have done this yesterday. -6 in his last 6 holes.

Oh, and some bland guy is winning. Wait his name is Bland? Woulda never known.

yea I just made a post about this too. two eagles and two birdies. awesome stuff. hes using that heel shafted putter too, helps him get the toe around and doesnt miss putts right

btw why are there so many flies in australia. The players have those flies all over their backs, they just stay on there, lol

Funny how it took Tiger to make a run like that to see a thread on this tournament. Pretty cool. I hope he can tear into next year like he did those last 6 holes.

That's exactly the way I feel. No one else in golf makes the game looks as amazing (or cool, or eventful, or enjoyable, or whatever) that Tiger when he's on fire. I don't want to see him tear it up because he's a good person (because, by all accounts, he's not), or because he's a fan favorite, or for any other reason. I just want to see the world's best player make history. If that means I'm drinkin' the Kool-Aid or on drugs, so be it, but I like watching greatness in action.

It is getting annoying that he can't put 4 rounds together though. Last week was the same way. This week his ballstriking was definitely better, his putting was just terrible until the back nine.

The Aussies are definitely doing everything they can to hand Tiger the title once again. Perhaps they'll run out of holes first.

Of course, when I say the Aussies are doing all they can to allow Tiger back into the tournament, one of them (ol' Stu, to be specific) decides he's tired of messing about and takes control of the whole thing.

Guys I was lucky enough to make the 2 hour drive to see Tiger today and I'm glad I went. So much better than on tv. He has a real aura and I hope this means his back!!

Nice of you to spoil this for the rest of us and not post it in the JBWere thread. Thanks...really.

When TW gets hot it is truly an awesome sight. Other guys get hot and it's cool to watch, but with Tiger it's often something different. The intensity, the focus. Despite all the off-track stuff, I also want to see him get back to where he was and play like he did yesterday more often. Or was it today - golf downundah

yea I wasnt expecting him to make that eagle putt on the last hole. It was like a 15-20 foot putt, but he had that Tiger fire going that many players lack. Jordan had that fire, kobe bryant, etc. When they are hot its going down

I didn't expect him to make that putt just because he's been putting so poorly as of late. The fist bump was nice to see, especially since it was at like midnight eastern time so I was half asleep.

At this point it's just one good round out of four. I think he had one of those at the Barclays. Nine good holes at the U.S. Open. Flashes, but nowhere near what he needs. You can't win hockey games playing two good periods and you can't win golf tournaments playing 9-18 good holes out of 72.

He'd have regained #1 if he'd have won, too.

I know, but it was very exciting to watch, especially given how poorly he had played much of the week.

He sounds like the new Greg Norman. I turned in an inspired final round, may I have my appearance fee now? Thank you - see you next year.

You didn't see any of it. You didn't see any of his interviews, yet you make this disaparaging comment.

Without appearance fees golf wouldn't be what it is today, whether we like it or not, especially on the European and Australasian tours. Tiger was very honest with himself and the press and clearly enjoyed himself down here. And...he was treated well by the crowds. He knows very well that he has to put 72 holes together, not bunches of 6 and 8 holes, and said as much several times. Despite what we would like to think, no-one is as exciting to watch than Tiger when he is hot. The air of expectation and anticipation is fantastic.

I've read several interview with players who confirm it's appearance fees that make overseas tournaments worth watching in the first place. When Greg Norman was playing mostly for appearance fee money there were probably plenty of other guys in the field doing the same, but when one of them arrives in his own helicopter the press has a field day. Even when he played a poor round it was still exciting. When he made a bad shot, he was capable of making one or two otherworldly shots that got him back in the hunt and made the crowd's collective jaw drop. Even when he was winning less often he seemed to be trying very hard right to the end. People would do the math on Saturday evening - how low must Greg go to have a chance. He came pretty close quite often. People wondered out loud what if he'd had a better 2nd or 3rd round. Sound familiar?

Greg was fantastic. Tiger is fantastic.
