Going to Chevron World Challenge!

I am so psyched! I am going to the pro am to watch the true greats of our game play. Any advice that you can give me, I've never been to any truly spectacular golf tournament like this. Will I be able to get autographs? What should I bring for them to sign? And what do you think the chances of me getting Tiger's autograph would be? Thanks for any insight or input you might all have....p.s. I will post pictures when I get back!

Bringing a few hats to sign aren't bad. Don't forget to bring your own Sharpie, you don't want to miss out on your autograph just because there was no Sharpie at hand. Who knows with the whole getting more involved with the public thing, you may very well get lucky. Have fun.

Thanks for the reply wrx! I'm excited and they say we can take pictures for the pro-am so i am pretty excited about that too.....i hope I get tiger's autograph that would be awesome......i'll brink a nike hat just incase

He normally only gives autographs to people in wheelchairs at the course, and advice well I went to my first pro event(just the pro-am like you) and the highlight was seeing mcilroy hit a drive(first pro drive Ive ever seen in person) and I was stunned lol so do that

I think we're going to watch on the practice section for awhile and then follow a few. Not sure yet. Have you ever gotten an autograph while at CWC?

Unfortunately, I haven't. It's not that they aren't accessible: I haven't gone since '07, and it was at the '08 Open that I found out you can just go up at the right time and ask for an autograph. I was too nervous at the time. This year, I'll be sure to get one or more!

Have fun buddy, I went to the solheim cup when it was in Indianapolis then the senior event this year here. The coolest thing I think is watching everyone hit their drives and how effortless their swings are. Even the old guys can really put the ball out there and they look like they are barely swinging!!! It really reinforces the fact that solid contact and a smooth swing is the key to being consistent and long.

Do you think I can shoot pics with my DSLR + long lens (70-200mm f/2.8) ? Will the click of my camera shutter disturb the players? Thanks!

I was there today. Usually I smuggle my camera in but decided against it this year. When I do I find that I'm paying more attention on framing a good shot rather than watching how the players go about their business. It was fun to watch them perform this time around!
