Seeing as Rory McIlroy was eligible for rookie of the year, I think he deserved to win the trophy.
Westwood mentioned all the reason why he should have won and when an American like Dustin Johnson says something like that, it should be great that Rory deserved it.

I can't see why guys like Westy and G-Mac are so critical of this 'Rookie Of The Year' decision.
Westwood clearly points out in his Twitter post reference to the Majors and the Ryder Cup, neither of which are specific to the PGA Tour.
The results alone show that Fowler deserves this title:

He hadn't played 11. He played, what, two or three fall series events in an attempt to get his PGA Tour card. He didn't quite get there so he went to Q School. He wasn't in the top 10 in the world and he hadn't played in 11 PGA Tour events. Big difference.

don't think there is anything wrong with the european tour, every golf course in the world looks and plays different to the next! How can you suggest they stay away from 'your' majors when at least half of the top 10 are brittish or european? Dont forget that if golf was not invented in america, it was invented in scotland, does st andrews look like a muni?

the courses on the us pga tour are the same every week, massive fairways short rough and quick greens, no wind all year round=boring
