Some low numbers going up already, after him looking horrible yesterday it looks as though the light switch has been turned on for AK today, also Paddy going low currently and taken the lead!

also, currently he's at 36% driving accuracy and playing well, sounds a lot like last year!

I swear its Nike's drivers...Tiger can't hit fairways, AK can't...and I couldn't with my VR!!!!!

Stricker is having a good week too.  Its nice to see AK playing decent again, although he still hasnt learned how to hit a fairway.

luckily this and next week are weeks where he can get away with it. Im saying he pulls it out tomorrow!

Was anyone watching Mickelson on hole 8 today? How did his 3rd shot 19 yard pitch over a bunker end up 9 yards short in the sand?

Shorted it just a hair and it rolled back in to the trap.

Yeah, and what's amazing is to do it two days in a row.  Heck, he could pretty easily have gone 63-63 if you ignore the first 3 holes, though I didn't see the bogeys.  And he really should have gone one lower on Sunday if his birdie putt hadn't lipped out on the last par 5 (16?)  One of the commentators noted, and it agrees with what I've seen, that usually the guy who shoots the course record to get in contention/the lead on Saturday goes and shoots a par or so the next day.  Really hard to bounce back and do it again, but Phil is something else when he's on.  Hope he keeps it up this week!!

Phil proves that he really is one of the most talented players out there. Consistency has been his biggest issue, but when he gets it going, he's on fire. His iron play and short game is incredible.

I wonder what the final score would have been if Phil had a less strong-willed caddie on the bag? Bones doesn't get it right every time, but he sure "nudged" Phil into the right choices off the tee on the weekend.

You mean ... taking the most aggressive possible line on every hole with a driver isn't always the right choice?

      Question About UK vs. U.S. Course Etiquette

      The term I hear most often is "double teeing" which means the course/club has starting times from both the #1 and #10 tee.  I have encountered this many times and we know if we are the first group off #10, we may well get to #1 and have to wait because there are groups still with tee times yet to tee of #1.  In most instances, where the course/club has a starter, he normally explains this situation.  In this case, the pro advised what you would could/would encounter making the turn to #1.  And, that is exactly what happened.  Probably would have been wise to talk to the pro after playing back 9 and ask when you could go off #1 since apparently that club does not double tee.   Regardless, the outburst towards the other group was uncalled for.  And, I don't blame the member for being upset.  As a member of a private club, you are responsible for the actions of your guest.  I have played many times as a guest in the UK and I am pretty damn sure my host was responsible for my actions while at the club.  I know at the clubs I have belonged to here in the US, that is the way it is.  As a matter of fact, the member may find himself being brought before management and facing possible suspension.  So, I don't blame him for being upset.  However, as the host, he really should have stepped up and put a stop to the OP's actions.  OP makes this statement "I now understand that standards are different on the "private course." But I'll take those lessons to the muni, too."  No, the standards are not different.  You, sir, seem to be just a bit hard headed and belligerent, even if you are college professor...which possibly explains a lot.   JMHO
