Rain, will you play in it?

Hard to believe the previous posts, most willing to play in inclement weather.

Well a little while ago three friends and myself had a golfing holiday in the Myrtle Beach area (early November), and we had a tee time at Brick Landing for 10:30 and arrived 9:30 for a leisurely coffee but was informed we could tee off when we wished as members had called off because it was raining.

Now this was a light drizzle, and temp. about 65%, which is (in England) conditions we would happily accept four/five months of the year. We almost had the course to ourselves.

Since it only rains here in Albuquerque once a year so I try not to play in it!  All joking aside here in the desert it doesn't rain like it does back east. When it does rain it is a complete downpour that is impossible to play through. The good thing is it only lasts for 5 minutes.!

In the midwest...particulary Wisconsin if you don't play in rain, wind or cold you wont play until June.  This year has been pretty wet but manage to get out with in between days that has been dry.  We've been teased too many times this year with temps from hi 70s to mid 50s today and of course more rain...I'll play as long as it is not completely down pouring...Umbrella, rain gear, caddytek and I'm ready to go!

Generally play in the rain in the NW if I waited for the rain to stop I would probably never get onto the course. Doesn't seem to bother me as much anymore. But those sunny days are definitely the best and always try to make tee times when I know there is sunshine in the forecast.

Yep i will play, most of the time. To me Golf is an out door sport, if your not willing to play in some non-perfect weather your not a golfer. Suck it up

I spent 2.5 hours practicing putting and chipping in a light rain tonight.  I'm a sick, sick man.
