I really don't get why he has to wear ALL orange... an orange shirt (like Tiger) or orange trousers (like Manassero) will do the trick... if you are all orange and you shot 74 you look pretty stupid IMHO...

He's been called a traffic cone, and yesterday he lived up to that as all of the other golfers racing to the finish had to swerve to avoid the traffic cone that was sitting there, in the road, being passed...

My take is it's part of his branding, so whatever. Tiger wears black pants every time he wears a red shirt, too, right? Have you ever seen Tiger wearing tan pants with his red shirt on Sundays?

I'd happily let myself look stupid so I could shoot a 74 on a PGA Tour course.

Why do people get so upset about what golfers wear when they play?

Why don't you twitter Ricky and let him know how you feel - I'm sure he'll do something about it.

He is wearing his OK State colors. Good on him.

You might need your TV adjusted, but I don't recall seeing Tiger in an orange shirt. Speaking of bad colours for TV, Watney's shirt and Fowler's outfit were really awful. Fowler costume was I'm asuming still his school colours head to toe?!? Most alumni don't wear school colours after graduation. Can we expect this walking crayon to look like this every week until he goes back and graduates?

Tiger also won a lot so his sunday red/black combo was part of his aura and branding. Rickie on the other hand doesn't win and makes himself stick out while losing. I would like to see him win but he should definitely back off the all orange outfit maybe shirt/shoes or pants/shoes. If Rickie starts winning then go to the all orange but I also understand the all orange probably helps his wallet.

How does the all orange help his wallet?  Is OSU paying him?  I've never heard of a school doing that but I've also never seen anyone that obsessed with their school.

You really wanna compare the pretty normal and classy look of a red shirt and black trousers of Tiger with a guy dressed ALL ORANGE?? come on, you can't be serious...

I would be happy to shoot a 74 on a PGA tour or even a 90 at Augusta or St. Andrews but this is not the point as we are not PGA professionals...

Uihlein is from the same university and he shares same pride of being from OSU but I think during tournaments he got a white shirt with the orange logo, an orange hat (I think) and the orange headcover... you don't have to be dressed like a clown to show love to your university...

Puma pays him and I'm sure that him wearing the orange draws a lot of attention which raise sales. There is an article on golf.com about how he has increased sales quite a bit so I'm guessing his next deal will be bigger.

Because it is part of the marketing schtick that has us talking about him when there are 40 other guys we never heard of ahead of him in the money list.

      Yeah, let's just ignore that there were only 5-10 great players back then… 🤣 Ha ha ha. Whatever you guys have to tell yourselves… Tiger won MAJORS 22 years apart. That's a long time. He wasn't missing the top ten on the money list because he sucked, it's because he didn't play due to injuries.

      Pretty accurate.  Another way you can look at it is how many years was Jack top 10 on the money list. It used to be the list that mattered, nothing else came close. Jack was top 10 from 1962-1978 and then once more in 1983 making 18 years total. He had another 4 inside the top 20. He was #1 8 times.  Tiger was top 10 from 1997-2009, 2012-2013, and 2018 which is 16 times total. His next best were 24th and 38th in 2019-2020. He was #1 10 times.  Honestly, they're both pretty long but Jack has quite a few more seasons in the upper ranks. Makes sense when Tiger barely played in 2010-2011 and then again from 2015-2017, and pretty much 2020 onwards. That's not an excuse for Tiger though.

      Played three and a half rounds in England last week. I will not be playing more than maybe 4 rounds on any one course. Probably only about 20 rounds all year and between 4 and 8 of those will be alternate shot, so don't really count. Off to a pretty good start though. Three and a half rounds gave me 5 birdies and an eagle (with two of those birdies being on the same hole number).
