I game a Rife 2-Bar Blade hybrid putter, but I have an original Ping Anser Scottsdale putter that was my dad's from the early 70's. I had the cheaper Pheonix stamped one which I played with for years.

Right now a Wilson Tour Special Forged (8802 style).  Got it off ebay for a steal, refinished in black with a nice new cord grip.  Not sure how old, but I'm guessing it's from the 60's. 36 inches, which is too long, but I just choke down to 34 or so and use the rest of the grip as a counterweight.  Really, really, really soft.

I use a White Hot putter made by Odyssey. I really like the weight and the stock grip size was perfect for my hands. The white hot gives good roll and solid contact time after time. Definitely a recommendation if anyone is looking for putters!

I might be looking into a Scotty Cameron because my Odyssey is getting worn but they seem WAY OVERRATED! Anyone have advice?

Why would you even look into one if you think they're WAY OVERRATED?

2-ball for me. Im not overly in love with it but its a nice putter. It hits left but with some adjustments ive hit some very nice rolls from respextable distances

I use the Ping Scottsdale Tomcat. I had the grip taken off and put on a Karakal Super Jumbo Light Red Grip put on it and I am averaging 29 putts per round after 18 rounds and had my personal best the other day, 23 putts. It took a little getting used to as I used to use a forward press and kept the ball dead center in my stance. With this putter I keep my hands centered and the ball is one ball forward of middle in my stance but now I am quite deadly with it.

I use the Odyssey #9 with an over sized grip.

Ive been looking at some Scotties but I just can see paying that kind if money for a Ping knock off.

Kirk Currie Trinity Putter, custom fit it to myself several years ago.  I was using an macgregor bladed putter which was awesome, and a Scotty Cameron 2006 Circa #1, but I sold the Scotty and gave the Macgregor away.

I like bladed, thin profile putters; they fit my eye so well.

Odyssey Sabertooth 33" with an oversize grip. It has the perfect balance for me and quiets my hands. I haven't been able to find anything that comes close.

Scotty Cameron Detour 35"

Pros: Nice soft feel; puts a nice roll on the ball; great distance control.

Cons: Alignment can be a pain; giant headcover.

    • Even injured Tiger had a more impressive career than Jack against much stiffer competition. This was confirmed by Jack quite a few times. You want to ignore that, but it’s fact.
    • Day 201 3-5 Wider backswing and higher. Practiced consisted of mostly backswing today. Wrist arching through downswing still a focus on full shots with a pause.  Will probably have a 2nd practice tonight blending wider backswing into more of full swing without pause at the top.
    • Scooted over to the range today in the rain to see how it goes when I try to hit one. The rehearsals I think look reasonable, but then get worse when I try to hit the ball. I think it’s better than it was but still a ways to go. Including the rehearsals in these two videos. One dtl and one fo. I still don’t understand what I need to do on the way down to stop that fugly shoving outside of the hands. Seems unlikely that will just disappear when I get the backswing position right. I have a feeling that lack of understanding of the next step might be holding me back some.
    • Of course, injuries suck, but that's no excuse. jack was competitive from 1962-1984 or so. 1979 wasn't very good sure (first winless season) but every other season during that timeline he was in the top 16 in the money list. That is a crazy long time. And notice I didn't even include 1986 because he was "only" 34th in the money list that year and 43rd the year prior.  Like you said yourself Tiger was injured what felt like more often than not post 2009. When he was healthy enough to play a full season he did really well (2012-2013, and 2018-2019).  I like Tiger too but you are seriously downplaying what Nicklaus did. Nicklaus was not normal, he is a crazy outlier just like Tiger.  The funny thing is Jack played a reduced schedule compared to his peers and yet he still played way more than Tiger up to his final win. I got him at 477 excluding amateur starts up to 1986 while Tiger is 364 if we exclude his am starts, 345 up to his last win at the Zozo. Just pointing that out because you said he only played a handful of events in those later years.
