Here are a few options:

If you don't mind driving a little, try Bent Tree near the I-71 and 36 interchange.  It has quite a bit of amount of water on it, but it's a fun layout.

If you are looking to finish with the same ball you started with, try Raymond Memorial. It's a (somewhat beat up) Robert Trent Jones layout that is now a muni.  You can still see the design concepts at work, but most of the course is wide, wide open.

If you don't mind spending a little more try Golf Club of Dublin or Riviera (also in Dublin). GCD has a lot of water, but it also has big fairways and huge greens so you shouldn't be washing that many balls.

I'm still waiting on my tee time at Muirfield Village. For some reason, they never call me back. ;-)

I played at The Medallion Club a few years ago. I think it was private, but I remember it being a really nice course.

Don't feel bad @CarlSpackler I live within two miles of Muirfield Village (as the crow flies) and I'm still waiting on my tee time, too.

Medallion is private, btw.

I can get us out there at some point, if I just ask. Maybe this fall.

I keep saying I want to play there and then forgetting to ask or schedule for it.

PLEASE!!!!!

So… you might have to play with a member or something, I don't know.

George will get to go. Plus me of course. And maybe a member.

So some math says… that leaves one or two spots.

That would be awesome! After all, if you are going to get your butt kicked by a golf course, it should be a good one.

Not sure if it's going to be a washout Thursday though. I'm supposed to play in Cincy, so I hope not.

I may have to end up signing up for evolvr rofl, my swing thread doesn't get much feedback. Anyway, I was thinking as rough as my swing has been it may not be worth doing any rounds of golf until I iron out some of my issues.

You just posted a video! I have it open in a tab to respond to after the movie I'm watching is over. Geez. :-)

I would recommend Evolvr too. I've been pleased with it. Having that and a My Swing thread is like chocolate and peanut butter.

Sweet, always nice to have another member of the dayton group. I was thinking Saturday looks like it may be a great day for golf, low wind and mild temperatures. Not sure if anyone is available or not. I'm not completely sure on my plans yet but seems like a good day to see if anything can be set up. An earlier tee time would be great in case I do end up having something going later in the day.

I am busy Saturday, I have my yearly scramble through my work. So I will be hacking it around Community Golf Course early Saturday.

    • Day 109 - 2025-01-17 Good 45 minute session today. No real pulls. Flipping the club up in front of me is helpful. Primes the system. Similar to what I was doing at Sand Valley, too.
    • Day 184: went to a simulator. Played Portush and did decent. Then worked on the range for a bit. Contact is a bit toward the heel, but not bad.
    • I am that old.....born in the 50's, started school in the 60's, finished high school in the 80's, married and divorced  in the 90's, remarried in the 00's - still married and now I'm just north of 65....yes I am that old
    • Oh - should've name it - its a "Golden Retriever by Pro Classic".  I don't think this particular version is even made these days.  There is a very similar one on Amazon sold by Mobile Pro Shops....I know way too much info - but it took the count from five to six brands in the bag yesterday....
    • Day 258 (17 Jan 25) - it was the Friday men's outing and I was paired with my usual side guy, Tony, plus the greenskeeper and assistante greenskeeper.  It was not a great round - started off with dbl-bogie-dbl - I thought the day would be a day of all 6's.  Overall the dbls eased off as I finished with an 88 (45/43).  Drives were okay, wedge play was off - best part of the day were the approaches. It was a good day, not an outstanding one - had some great recoveries and decent putts.
