I'd like to take this opportunity to welcome Mario Bevilacqua to the forum. Mario is a brilliant young teacher who is well versed in MORAD, TGM, and a lot more. He's based out of the Orlando, FL area and is one of the new breed of instructors who aren't just going to mumble something about your grip and tempo in the hopes that you stop fat-shanking everything.

Mario, if you'd be so kind, please tell us about yourself. ;-)

Hi Mario. Thanks for all the good stuff you have up on YouTube. The "orange pants trilogy" is material I come back to again and again, and not just for the natty threads!

This is excellent news. Since mvmac introduced him a few weeks ago I have been rummaging through his youtube videos. They are all very good.

Hey guys,

Thank you all for the warm welcome!

I was urged to give a brief about myself from Eric and Mike, so here she goes: I am a Philadelphia native, recently moved down to Florida to work at the Don Law Golf Academy in Boca Raton after my college career at Methodist University in Fayetteville, NC. I had attended Methodist for my business degree with a concentration in PGA professional golf management. I had gotten my start in the teaching industry by Andy Plummer when I took lessons from him at Aronimink GC. From that point I was introduced to the Stack and Tilt/MORAD information very early on in high school. Andy turned me on to the Golfing Machine and long story short I am the youngest person to be authorized at the Bachelors and Masters degree levels in the company. Some of my other mentors include top 100 teacher Chuck Evans, GSED, Geoff "Slicefixer" Jones, and Mac O'Grady. My other interests in the teaching industry include Aimpoint green reading, Edel putter fitting, and coaching for performance.

I would like to extend my help to you all! Happy to be here at the Sand Trap!

Fairways and greens,

Mario

    • Day 35, June 8. Before leaving for work this morning (yes, I'm posting this quite late relative to the practice), I spent 15 minutes practicing at home, into a net.  This time, it was primarily 9-iron (full swings), with some UW (full and half) and a few 6-iron.
    • Day 73: just some mirror work today. Working on feels for being open and getting the front shoulder down.
    • I'm liking this. Finally getting down hands in front of my trail leg pocket consistently at A6 with much better clubhead position (relatively not as tipped out). I can really pressure the shaft through impact with good face control  from this position and stay in balance. Won my first one v one march 5&4 against a 4 hcp who routinely drives it 35-40 yards past me in the men's club match play . Frustrated him with some solid iron play and air tight putting.
    • Day 279 6-8  Worked on low point control skills work tonight. will be doing this for a few weeks. Tonight was just trying figure out how to get low point forward.  No ball.
    • Day 8 (Jun 8 26) - Stayed the drill but added two additional irons (7i, 8i and 9i) - using Divot Board and hard foam balls - focused on tempo and purposed pause at the top….noticing how open the club is marking the board when I try to kill it and how much more square (and better distance) when I focus on these keys.
