What is your budget?

If you are on a super tight budget as I was, I'd recommend the Casio EX-FS10.  I got mine off of eBay for less than $100 and if you look around at online shops you can find it for right around $120 (just do a search on Google).  It will capture 210 fps at a decent enough resolution for you to be able to analyze.  However, to get a decent shot, there needs to be plenty of sunlight so keep that in mind.

Here is a swing I filmed using it:

On my computer, it is quite a bit brighter; however, I've noticed that videos get darker when I upload them to YouTube.

You'll also need a decent SDHC card... the class needs to be high enough that it can record the high speed video without skipping.  I went with this one and haven't had any problems.

If you have a bit more money than that (about 200-300 dollars) there are some nicer Casios that will give you higher speed video (420fps I think) at the same or higher resolution and better brightness.  However, if you have to settle for the EX-FS10 I think you'd be happy with that too.

Yeah, I usually end up touching mine up a bit in iMovie before I put them on YouTube. I was thinking of upgrading to a newer one, but the baseline for anything new on Amazons right now is about $230.

I  was looking to spend about 150. This is to record my swing, I feel like I'm all over the place sometimes I strike the ball really well sometimes I don't but nothing feels different. The video from the casio looks great!.

I found this refurbished Casio FH100 on eBay for $189 with free shipping.  All the feedback he's gotten (both in general and on that particular item) has been positive so it may be worth it.

BTW, that camera I just linked to would be an upgrade over the EX-FS10 I referenced in my original post.

It does 240 fps at 420 pixels. with a upgraded card it can record for hours. at least mine does

If you are going to take the plunge I would go for a better camera.  The extra frame rate is worth it.  I like to see the club face.

As was mentioned earlier you need good light for good video.  Here is my son with a higher frame rate taken with a Casio EX-FH100.

What makes this camera good is that you can adjust the shutter speed. On the newer cameras you can not adjust the shutter speed.

By the way this is my then 13 year old son, I wish I was that flexible and had that swing!

Good luck!

I stand corrected... I didn't see that earlier when I was looking at the specs.  Still just a bit out of the OPs price range but a good suggestion.

Here is a good site to compare and check out specifications of cameras.

You can narrow down the results with different criteria.

Not the best for pricing, but for researching, it's is great

Quality looks decent, but I don't think 120fps is fast to accurately capture the shaft position in the downswing. It's a pity, as Casio seems to be limiting their HS efforts and it would be great to have more options in the market.

Yes and yes. It's a shame Casio isn't giving a high priority to high speed cameras. If this camera wants to compete, it's got to do over 200 FPS. Even the Casio TRYX does 240.

I keep hearing that Olympus, or Fuji, or someone else out there has a camera that looks promising, and then, a month later, you hear it all again, and it never seems to come true.

I'm treating my FH-25 and my FH-100 (and even my FC-100) like they're easily damaged gold.

The tryx is at a much lower resolution which may or may not matter. It all comes down to if you can see what you want to see. A bunch of the Canon's now have a high speed mode but I don't have any direct experience with them.

What I would love is a couple of high speed web cameras that I could hook up to my computer directly. I am not going to hold my breath.
