Greetings ... Just read an interesting story on current Walt Disney co-leader Justin Leonard. It has to do with his current exempt status, and there's an explanation of the "victory compounding" rule which affects winners of big events like the Grand Slam Majors or the Players Championship or a World Golf Championship. For life... He has a lifetime exemption due to having 20+ wins.

Plus, he's still inside the top 125.

The requirement is actually 15 years on tour (which I believe he just hit this year).

Also note he can lose the exemption at any time if he fails to maintain a scoring average of three strokes above the field average in the tournaments that he plays in, or fails to compete in at least one official PGA Tour event each calendar year.

Sorry  - my mistake, I was thinking about the number of wins, not the number of years.

In the race of life, always back self-interest. At least you know it's trying.
