There is a lot of great instructional information on The Sand Trap.  Erik (iacas) and I have an outlet where we can share our thoughts about the golf swing, instruction, technology, professional tours called Swing Thoughts .  And t o illustrate poor instruction we have the Comics Thread . The purpose of this thread will be to further theoretical discussion and learning from other quality instructors. The only requirement for this thread is that the instructors know the Ball Flight Laws .

For the best videos go here ;-)

If you wish to post a link to an article or a video please be very, very picky about the information .  In other words there won't be any "roll the toe over" to hit a draw type of Fantasy Instruction .  We want to share quality information from instructors that base their information in the understandings of geometry, physics and anatomy.  If you're not sure, then message me.  We also won't delete any videos.

I'll start it off with these great videos from Dana Dahlqusit, Mario Bevilacqua, Martin Chuck and Jeff Evans.

Thank you Mike. Mario's video is one of the best I've ever seen.

Not exactly light entertainment, but I have learned a great deal from Joe Mayo's "TrackMan Fundamentals" videos.

Thanks for the great share. Learning golf by watching youtube videos is really nice. More people should do that, it helps you to get better results in your game.

Mario your video of a flat left wrist has helped me hit solid shots again along with the others instructors' videos.  I now have the desire to play golf again.  Thanks again everyone

Oh man, that Bobby Eldrige drives me nuts. Classic example of a guy who may be able to play good golf but obviously has NO IDEA how he does it! Giggle fest every time!

Scary thing is, there are far more instructors like him than their are good guys.

Yours in earnest, Jason.

I like this one about where to go looking when you're hitting it funky.

    • Day 24 9-7 Worked on lower body movement with full swing. Focused on hips. Need to work on setup a bit. Was hoping to get to the short game area today, stayed home and recorded some swings instead. I've come to the conclusion I learn the most with my practice setup at home, just a net and a hitting strip. Overall happy with the progress this week.
    • Day 2 (September 7), still with the grip and the medicine ball (using weights).   Still on vacation and really aching to be able to do a full practice the way I'd be able to at home.  Also bought a 1/2" section of pipe today at the hardware store and have been regularly practicing the grip with that too while watching Sunday football with the family.
    • Day 1: Worked on feels for wedge swings. Primarily getting everything to move from the top of the backswing in the correct sequence.
    • Day 6 (7 Sep 25) - Afternoon pitch session with the 54 and 58 in the backyard. Keys: Alignment - Setup - Smooth swing thru - working on each to be as “automatic” as possible - not mindless, but deliberately repeatable. I have found the precision required to properly execute carries well into the full swings.
    • 180% is the threshold. But yeah, many of them are close to 200%. Not 120 and 123%. People generate speed differently. I think your speed will come more easily when this stuff gets sorted out. Stay disciplined. Stay on the road. You can't get off exit 74 before you hit exit 32.
