Florida's a big state.  Plenty of great courses, but would need to know where in the state.

Also would help to know what your price point is...

wherever you go, be sure to use www.golfnow.com  I got to florida every feb with some buddies and we play pretty good courses for under $50 using golfnow.

As others have siad, It is a big state with lots of courses at lots of prices.

If you are considering the Orlando area check out this site: http://golfcourses.weebly.com/orlando-fl.html - Orlando courses

If you are considering the Tampa area, I'd suggest World Woods. There are two of the best courses in the State at Worldwoods and it is reasonbly priced

If you are considering the West Plam area, I'd suggest PGA Village which has three good courses.

If you are considering the Jacksonville area. I'd suggest TPC Sawgrass, Amelia Island or The courses at the World Golf Village

If you are considering Miami I'd suggest Crandon Park or Turnberry Isle

That only scratches the surface of Florida Golf courses. Difficult to give a decent response without more info from you.

Hey, I'm thinking on playing in the United States next week. Any suggestions?

Apologies for the sarcasm, but having been a Fla resident for 25+ years I can tell you we got tons of great tracks. As others have said, we need you to narrow it down to a specific area.

Oh sorry for I have not specified a place. I'm not familiar with the places in Florida but my kids say that maybe Miami is a great place. They want to see the nice beach of Miami.

I'm not very particular with the prices. All I want is for my kids to enjoy. My daughter is 9 years old and his brother is 15. I want them to be acquainted with golf.

Your son will love South Beach, but you may need to cover your daughter's eyes!

Yes really, clothing is more of an option in South Beach, unless you consider dental floss clothing. If you are looking for golf instruction check out Doral, The Fountainbleu, and other resorts to see what they have to fit your needs. The weather is perfect this time of year as we are in "season" for all of our visiting guests.

Miami may not be the best place for kids. As mentioned, they do have great beaches, but it's a large city, very urban & has spots you don't want to find yourself in after dark (during the day for that matter). If you want nice beaches & a more laid-back family-style atmosphere, check out SW Florida - Naples, Ft. Myers, Sarasota. Less expensive than Miami, less traffic, more relaxed. Sanibel Island is renowned for it's shells - great kid activity - go find cool sea shells on the beach.

And they got tons of good courses there too.

And of course, there's where I live, Orlando. No beaches, but the kids will love it! - Disney, Universal Studios, Sea World, etc. And we got a bunch of great courses too. But if they want the beach, I would recommed Sanibel - get a cottage on the beach, go shelling.

Thanks zipazoid :D Great thing I asked about this question in our Forum. Great to know that there are a lot of Florida golfers here. I've heard about Naples. I'd also check Tourspoon suggestion. Thanks again :)

    • Day 211 (29 Nov 24) - Friday men’s round albeit a solo foursome (temps in the 40’s, day after Thanksgiving and the average age closer to 75 - I’m a youngster at 65).  Interesting day of semi-solid play (8 of 18 GIR). Hit all four par threes in one (a first) - parred each; still had a couple 3 putt bogies; and blew up on 3 of the par 5’s (go figure)). The blow ups were some serious tree rattlers - amplifying how I got stupid and greedy instead of smart and content to just get back in the short stuff.
    • Day 60 - 2024-11-29 Got about 3.5' of snow today, so I was going to go to Golf Evolution, but… I only left the house to throw some snow. Instead, i checked out my putting stroke on HackMotion in the basement. Turns out… it's pretty good, and I'm very in touch with what I'm doing.
