The course record before Friday was 64, and Tiger just shot 62 on Sunday, in contention, with saturated fairways and high winds. Pretty impressive for a has-been.

Now I'm really looking forward to the Masters. Would love to see McIlroy go up against Woods there. I think McIlroy will keep it together but I wouldn't mind a playoff :-)

So much for a 1, 2, 3 UK finish.

A playoff would be awesome but I don't think Rory is going to blow a two shot lead.

Yeah, his scrambling is fantastic today, and even if he hits one in the water on the Bear Trap, he has an easy (for him) birdie hole at 18. But sweet baby Jesus, I'd sure like to see a playoff.

Westwood had the round of the day going until 18, but he parred it and Tiger eagled it. I'd sure like to see a blimp view of Tiger's shots on 18, because I can't figure out how either of them ended up where they did.

Really? It was a really cool shot and he should use it more. I just don't think I have never seen him hit it. Maybe I have, but just don't remember. You rarely even see him hit a knock down iron shot. I totally agree...Rory isn't gonna blow this one. And he deserves to be #1. But like you said, Tiger is getting better and better. It's gonna be hard to get that #1 away from Rory because of his talent and consistancy over the last year. But i feel Tiger and co AREN'T going to make it easy on him. Sorry, had to correct that...typing too fast.

Yeah, I heard that too. Funny stuff. Rory isn't making it easy on himself, but he's getting it done. If he can go up and down on 17 or even take bogey, he's got it rapped up. He'll par 18 at the very least...I think.

Congrats to Rory -- he became the World #1 in style. But Tiger has served notice that he's going to want that title back.

Congrats to Rory.  The more I see him in interviews and hear people like Jack talk about him the more impressed I am with him as an individual and a golfer.  He's a great #1 for golf and hopefully will get some of the limelight he deserves now.  He also doesn't appear to be afraid of Tiger chasing him, which could set up for a great Masters.

CONGRATS RORY!!! He really had some serious pressure on him...not only to win tourney but with #1 and the Tiger Charge. That takes serious guts! As golf fans, we have a fun year ahead of us!!!

      Day 206 (24 Nov 24)  - An easy session with the 54deg wedge and hard foam balls / one simple goal - distance control thru backswing length while not decelerating.  Had a playing partner comment they noticed me decelerating on a couple short wedge shots in last round.  Hit from distances from close to 40yds down to 20.

      Musgrove Mill hole #15 was converted to a par 3 after Hurricane Helene. Today, I had 145 from the tee which is a perfect 9-iron for me. I aimed just right of the hole and pulled it a few feet. Clanked off the stick down into the hole and ricocheted out of the hole 13’ away. Drained the putt for a birdie after repairing the hole which was damaged . Not sure if it would have counted as a HIO, but I was pretty excited!

      Day 55 - 2024-11-24 Did five levels of Operation 36 on GSPro (different courses). 🙂 Was -4 from 200 yards (32) intentionally laying up on each hole (i.e. not hitting a 5I or something). Shot… 22, 24, 26 from 25, 50, and 100 yards. I forget my 150-yard score, but obviously it was < 36. Putting was odd… (and I did it with the wedge or a 7I or whatever was in my hand).
