I didn't but then I did. Two Chip Chen, double hit a wedge out of the rough, took an 8 and lost the US Open by one stroke. He did get one PGA win though. Makes him a legit golfer.

I always thought Rich Beem was in the one win category, but he has two others besides his major, just like Ben Curtis, Shaun Micheel only has one win, but all three of these guys have made close to $10M each in career earnings, and Jason Dufner, who has not won yet, has $8M.

Right. That's why I didn't put Ben Curtis in the one-hit wonder category, cuz he validated his 2003 British win by winning on the tour. Plus he's a fellow Kent State Golden Flash. So he rocks.

A few others:

Tony Manero

Sam Parks

Charl Schwartzel (win something else, Chuck)

Louis Oosthuizen (ditto)

...and has Lucas Glover won anything since the 2009 US Open?

YE Yang?  Ended Tiger's '54 hole lead in a major' streak.  Has anyone heard from him since?

Lucas has 3 tour wins.  He had a 2-year slump after his open win, but he won last year.

The PGA was Yang's second win.  He hasn't won on the PGA Tour since, but he's been in contention a few times.

Okay thanks. I would take him off the list then.

Why Ben Curtis, he was a multiple winner on Tour 3 years after his Open title?

Along those same lines, Trevor Immelman. He won a few times before his Masters (once on the PGA Tour, three times on the Euro Tour), but hasn't won since.

    • It may not have been block practice, though, is one of the main points here. You may have been serving and from the same place, but you were likely trying to do slightly different things. It seems that would only be blocked practice if you were trying to hit the same exact ball hit to you to the same exact place in the far court. I'm not sure that's as random as if the ball that you're given to hit is at different places, too, but again…
    • I played tennis in college. I thought block practice was great for serves because you were starting the point and  you could easily adjust where you wanted to place the ball based off the same motion. I equate those to tee balls. I despised block practice for groundstrokes once you reached a certain level and your fundamentals were good. To me, hitting a 100 crosscourt backhands in a row was silly because I would never do that in a match. I needed to randomize it by hitting some deep, some angled, all with different speeds and spins. I share that same thought about iron play. Because we seldom hit the same approach shots hole after hole, I prefer to practice irons randomly.
