Could someone predict a MC or a made cut and a WD without being branded a hater?

That type of banter typically only goes on over at the Golf Channel website. At worst here, you'll just get some slanted, misleading statistics thrown out at you "evidencing" that your prediction is wrong.

Not likely.

Although I think Brocks might have predicted a Tiger MC at the Players in the Tiger v. Phil thread.

Who knows. But the guy just won in a relatively big way a month ago.

People lose their minds when it comes to Tiger. Geez. Bay Hill wasn't last year.

That's because Brocks is a Tiger-hater.

I predict a 3 under 69 to keep him around for the weekend.

Golf and the PGA still needs Tiger to compete on Sunday.

Still going with 67.  I'm feeling this one!!!

Cutline projected at even, he's 2 over from the first round. I think he'll pull it together and make it, and then it's anybodies guess. We'll see how far ahead the leaders are at the end of the day. Martin Laird hasn't move up at all.

Yours in earnest, Jason.

Has he ever shot better than 70 at The Players?

He shot 72-69-66-67 to win in 2001.

Yes.

But if the cutline remains at even he would only need 70 no?

Granted he would need 3rd and 4th rounds well below 70 to have any chance at all of making top 10 let alone winning.

Maybe he and Rory can share a cab back to the airport. Or hang around to bum a ride on Poulter's jet LOL.

If the wind keeps blowing like it is, 70 will be a very good score this afternoon. I think Tiger needs the cut line to move up to +1 to make it.

Tiger, birdie on #4.  -1 on the day, +1 for the tourney!

I thought he must have, but I read in the paper he hadn't broken 70 there in 15 years. They maybe meant 15 rounds? Either way, if the wind picks up he's a goner since I've also read he's a notoriously poor wind player.

    • Day 1: 2/26/2025: So, I'm starting over on this again.  My son brought home the mother of all flu bugs from school. It raged though our house and knocked me on my butt for about 3 days.  Now, that I think I'm clear of the death plague my son gave me. I was able to rise early this morning and get some nice mirror work in. I felt stiff like a board for the first few swings, but loosened up and was able to get at least 20 minutes of first robotic slow swings and then gradually more fluid swings.  My focus was on the timing and fluidity of my priority pieces.
    • I use a MagSafe connector on my tripod. Occasionally I use those clips.
    • Working on some swing videos. What are you guys having the best luck with as far as devices used to record the swing?  I have a tripod with a magnet that I stick my phone on but it is somewhat of a pain because I have to remove the cover on my phone and when I pull it off the magnet the tripod head changes and moves position. I was thinking something more like an ipad maybe. On a different style tripod and maybe even set it up to mirror to a tv.
