Consider for a moment that Na may not want to play with you.

I know. How dare he, eh?

Funny how some waggles are soothing to watch, while others are like nails on a chalkboard.  For instance I find Duffner's waggles pleasant.

This is like saying, you are a slow driver because you got stuck in traffic.  Sorry but his issues over the ball aren't really affecting his pace of play.  It is painful to watch though.

You hit the nail on the head with *painful to watch* - this is why he woukdnt last in my group

I dunno. I would get over the "pain" of watching him balking as soon as I saw him launch a 320y drive.

Shit, I'd probably starting imitating him.

He would be much faster than you considering he only needs <72 shots every time he plays. Quit ragging on Na he's a great player

Most of the rounds yesterday took 4 hours. Like I said, he would be by far the fastest in your group since he would only take 3 shots per hole. Next time he asks you to play, I'd like to see you decline and tell him it's because of his "slow" play. Haters all over the place even analysts are hating, let the kid be!

Good Meenman, don't invite him to your group. Your group sounds like a bunch of snobs, rich snobs.

Kevin Na can come play with my group anytime.

And the fans in Florida, they are A$$holes for heckling him, he wasn't even playing that slow on Sunday.

Give the guy a break already, good lord....

Not only would I welcome Kevin Na into my foursome, I'd pay his greens fee! Sure beats some of the guys my bud and I are forced to play with: 20+ handicappers with long drawn out routines, idiots who take forever to get to their ball because they are on their smart phone, guys who reload without penalty after every bad shot. etc...

Totally agree. The fans were just following the sentiment of the media as the mindless zombies that they are. The media should be called out for their relentless demeaning, because they set the stage for Sun.  Hey Brandel Chamblee, did demeaning another golfer take some of the sting out of only winning one tournament in your very unimpressive career?

I can't help but wonder why belligerent disorderly fans aren't removed from the venue, when just taking a picture or having a cell phone ring can result in the same penalty?  I work the LPGA ShopRite Classic, and they have goons that will escort people out for taking pictures of the pros AFTER THEIR ROUNDS at the autograph line. Surely that is not one fraction as egregious as shouting "Na na na na, hey hey hey, goodbye!" after Kevin hit his ball in the water????

I would love to play with Kevin Na.  He seems like a wonderful human being, with a gracious and transparent personality.  He also has earned respect for being one of the best golfers in the world.

Those that try and shame him in galleries deserve to be removed by officials, and banned from ever returning to PGA events.  Their behavior was beyond callous and evil, and they deserve whatever bad things that happen to them going forward.

Anyone that has ever had swing demons, or has tried to conquer a problem with their golf game can relate to what Kevin Na is going through.  I can say nothing but positive things about him.

Now, the players that piss me off are the Sean O'Hair's of the world.  When this guy is asked about their slow pace of play they basically give the interviewer the middle finger and tell them that this is who they are and if they don't like it to go F themselves.

It's all in the attitude and response to the problem.  Na knows he has issues.  O'Hair thinks this is the way golf is supposed to be played.  I'd play anytime with Na, and I'd tell O'Hair to go F himself everytime.

Here's an appropriate answer.....most if not all of us would drool at the prospects of playing with a PGA tour pro, even if it was a boor/jerk like Rory Sabbatini (just going off reputation).  That being said, would I want to play with someone that shoots 82-85, like myself and has a routine that is like Kevin Na's.....that's a negative ghostwriter.

Well said.  Chamblee is a dbag of the highest order.  Obviously he lack self awareness.  If he had self awareness, he wouldn't be telling Tiger Woods what to do or ripping Na.  Complete clown and that I expect to see cut from the tv crew sooner rather than later.

Your right, slow play does come pre shoot routine. Na lost it at the 6th hole. A fan yelled out some strange called which shocked everyone at the tee box at 6th. Am not a pro golfer and I do time to time play for money. But for 1.7 million I couldnt imagine

That would depend on the other 2 players.  No reason that Na would be any slower in a 4-some than playing with 2 though.

He can play with me and my group any time.  I'm guessing that playing with him would mean a lot more to me than vice versa....!

I do not think that Na would have the same problems playing in a casual round as he does when he is playing for the money that is at stake and all the fans/cameras that come with the tour. He even said that some of the time he would back off because of the heckling. No one would be heckling him in your foursome and I think the chance to play with a touring pro is something you can never pass up. Saying he wouldn't make it/you would decline is absurd, in my opinion.

And for that matter. It wasn't just the heckling at Kevin Na, the rude obnoxious fans were doing this all week. Yelling out stupid crap right after impact.

Did you hear the idiot yelling "LIGHT THE CANDLE" right after the players swing. I mean what is this, 3rd grade or something?

All those mothers out there on Sunday, were probably sad because their sons were out there acting like 3 year olds.

The madness must stop.

And I also agree Brandell needs to stop his complete nonsense, TGC needs to fire him.

Seemed like the fans at the tourney this week mistook it for an FSU football game.  It was disgraceful.  Worst I've seen since Bethpage in 2002.

My initial thoughts on this would have been no, the waggle, the amount of time that he seemed to spend standing over some shots was really difficult to watch. Having read this thread, and really thinking about it though has changed my opinion. He is a professional, he would blow me and my friends out of the water, and he would be way the hell faster than all of us, easily. Slow play doesn't come from standing over a ball for a minute before you swing, slow play comes from not being prepared to hit your own ball when it is your turn.

That was my thought (not sure what that last term means though).

Before I'd seen anything about Mr. Na this weekend, I played with a guy Friday morning who took full very similar waggles. Our two-some was joined by another two-some. One of the strangers had a waggle problem. Only 5 or 6 each shot. It was funny and odd. Like Na, you could hardly tell which waggle would become the actual swing. This guy had many full backswing waggles. Unlike Na, our guy was NOT a good golfer. And he was the quietest guy I've ever played with. Said about 20 words the entire round. Maybe the voices in his head made it hard to talk with others. I had never seen anything like it. And then, this Na waggle thing was everywhere. Coincidence? Or did this guy see Na and say, "That look like a good idea."?
