Lot's of pros have nicknames.  The Shark, The Big Easy, Lefty, The Hawk, and The Golden Bear.  My question is simple — what's your golf nickname or if you don't have one — what do you think it should be?

Mine would likely be something like

- Putt Pirate

- Shankapotamus

- The Hazard

Looking forward to seeing your nicknames.

My golf nickname would be "MaryBeth"...which is my wife's name.  I tend to leave a lot of balls short on the green and thus been dubbed with this name by my normal playing partners.

I leave putts short regularly as well and suffer the usual responses —

- Why don't you hit it with your purse next time?

- That was a good looking putt for a woman

ad nauseam

I used to have a HUGE sway so some of the comedians in my group used to called me Elvis. Don't currently have a nickname but as I have a tendency to play "army golf" I should be called Sarge. Left-right-left-right...

I don't sway anymore.

Call me Ernest, or EJ or Ernie.

Sarge is a good nickname and as a hacker myself I know the left-right-left march very well :)

If you want to keep the Elvis moniker you could do a shimmy at set-up or simply say "thank you, thank you very much" after every good shot.

On my high school golf team I was called 'Hack Hack Plunk' cuz I wasn't a very good ball-striker but could get up & down from anywhere.

I'm new to golf and my usual partner has been playing for many years. I already play preeety close to as well as he does. So when I out play him he does call me by various nicknames, something like, "You a**hole". The name tends to vary from round to round.

Phat Slice or Fat Slice is a good nickname.
