I like my Tour Velvet grips but they are wearing out to say the least... How are the multi-compund grips that are out there i.e. The Golf Pride Decade?

If you have a good golf shop in the area, you might stop by and get a "grip tour." Lots of new variety in grips the last few years.

I think they are very similar (or else I'm just not all that picky)  I have the mutil-compunds on my irons and wedges, but the stock grip that came on my 3W/hybrid are tour velvet (titleist 910 series) and I really don't see any difference in the feel or playability, personally.

Grip preferences are pretty individual, like most things in this silly sport. I switched to the new decades last year from many years of playing tour wrap full cords, and they're by far my personal favorites. Great feel and very grippy.....Much more so than tour velvets for me in the heat and sweat of Floida summer. Pricey and they seem to wear just a little quickly though.

Grips really are about preference. I need to regrip my irons soon and I really like the new Winn Dri-Tac grips. They have a nice soft, squishy, tacky feel.

If you can't tell a difference in the TV and the NDMC you must have calluses 1/2" think on your hands. No comparison. I, personally, hate the NDMC as opposed to the TV.

IMO the multi compound grips aren't worth the price, as they cost twice as much as Tour Velvet.

Tour velvet mid-size on all clubs other than putter. They hold up well and even in light rain don't slick up the way others do. Also at under $5 pretty much anywhere, it's hard not to use them.

These are probably the best answers to consider.  Depending on the weather you play in, and what feels good to you, that's all that matters.

Golf Pride Multi-Compounds are amazing to me. Not as good as full-cords but well worth the almost 10 bucks a pop. Try and find a "buy so many get so many free" if you decide on them though or you'll be up around $130 by the time its all said and done. Tacki-Mac makes an identical one for about 3-4 dollars cheaper if your not "name-brand". I have a buddy that swears they're as good as GP's but I can't say for certain. My favorite grips of all-time are full-cord Lamkins. They are rough as port-a-john toilet paper and they'll work a helluva callus after the blisters subside.

      Went up to Erie for a lesson. I still need to work on how I shift my weight into my right leg and turn into the right leg. I extend it too much and externally rotate it too much. That all causes me to over rotate the hips and cause weight shift issues in the downswing. I need to feel like my right leg gains flex (it doesn’t), and my knee cap faces forward. The right hip sinks back and right. I need a need a ton more internal rotation. I still have some right elbow issues in the backswing. The path is better, but too much right elbow bend. I need to maintain width in the right elbow and let my right shoulder retract more, let’s say at A3, which helps keep that right arm extended.

      Day 130 12-20 Today was just swinging what i had and go from there. Did focus on getting to lead side. Recorded swings for lesson  and hit real balls.
