The Best (worst) Spelling and Grammar Errors Thread

Recommended Posts

There are truly some gems here.   If we simply tracked the rate that these are piling up, who could probably forecast within a month or two the exact end of the English language as we know it.

I must admit I keep checking back on this thread to see if any of my missives have made the list.   Whew, looks like I've made it through another day!

Bingo, you got me.   Ironic that during a grammar thread my too-fast typing delivered a perfect typo.  It was supposed to be "who could"!

Clambake, now THAT is irony - getting snared with a post stating how you just made through another day....NOT!!! Hey, I'm the architect of this thread, and I got snared. Yes this thread is not for the faint of heart. Enter only if you dare....

So I'm sure your all working off the spring rust, especially if your like me and your in the midwest . When I was at my peak in my short golf career I was shaping my shot from a gentle cut off the tee to a suddle draw on both my driver and irons. For the first few rounds I'm playing my current shot shape just so I can navigate the course through a round. Being that our driving range doesn't open for another month, what can I do on the course to get that suddle draw back off the tee and for my irons? What swing thoughts should I be thinking to promote that draw insted of a weak cut. I find I have more distance eith a draw than a cut so I would like to go back to staring down those shots insted of watching my ugly cut/slice.

I'm not sure what of mine is supposed to be in the Midwest.... I know how to hit a push draw and have been known to pull a draw.......but that suddle draw is a real challenge.

Maybe it's just me but I notice that more and more people are using "your" when they mean "you're", it's frankly embarrassing.

You do know that you're (or the more modern 'your') living dangerously by just posting here EJ!

I'd like to preemptively point out that I often say and type "oh carp" on purpose because I like the way it sounds.  If/when I do it, it's not an error

So do I.  When I read that I chuckled assuming he was like me. :)  Of course, the origin of it, for me, is from a co-workers email a long time ago where he spelled it wrong on accident.  Since then, we all just say it that way here for fun.

Well that's just all kindsa fail.  I wonder what the word "lab" is supposed to be?  I can't make sense of that part.  Lag?
