In looking at David's iron on page 40 of the July 13, 2012 Golfweek, I did not recognize the logo on his 7 iron. I looked on the web and see that he has a deal with Scratch Golf but unless this is a new logo for them, I have no clue. It almost looks to be a skull and crossbones .. None know?

I thought the same thing, Scratch with a custom stamp? Definitely a sweet stick.

I think it's just a personal marking, like when some have their initials done.  It's on the gap wedge here, but not the 7 iron, but the Scratch logo is still on the wedge in the normal spot.  This is from the 2012 Farmers Insurance Open:

David Duval still plays??? He used to be one of my favorite golfers growing up, I haven't heard his name in a really long time!

Saw he was using a 913 driver. Also, is he really sponsored by Burton, the snowboard company? Do they make golf stuff? I saw him wearing a Burton hat during British Open coverage. Did he just grab a hat off the rack at Dicks Sporting Goods or something? He's also rocking a major sunglasses tan from those wraparounds.

I bought a cardigan a few weeks ago (before our version of a heat wave) in a snowboard shop. Didn't even know it was a Burton until I got home. Very comfortable and a perfect cut for golf.

I know they make clothes, I have some. I just was curious as to whether they're trying to get into the golf industry. Selling clothing at Golfsmith, marketing to golfers, stuff like that.

Not to be confused with Burton Golf who has been making Golf bags for a long time.

OR with Burton Cummings who played a mean piano and wrote few songs a zillion years ago.

Yes he did.  He was with The Guess Who as I recall.  Thanks for bringing some classics back to mind.
