Recommendations for push cart ??

I've always used a PULL cart (2 wheel), and have noticed recently I'm the only one that still uses one.    EVERYONE else seems to use the 3 wheel PUSH carts.

So, I need a little help ... I guess I'm going to replace my pull cart with a push cart (still not sold on them, but I'm usually the last to conform to anything).       I've been told you have to get a push cart with a swiveling front wheel - thats a must.    For me, fold down size & ease of folding is important - smaller the better in my trunk.     Can anyone give me a recommendation for a good mid-priced ($100-120) push cart that you've had good luck with that works well ... thanks !!

I have a Cliqgear, which is excellent and built to last. No swiveling front wheel - not necessary. Folds up nice and compact. My buddy has a Sun Mountain 4 wheel cart, which folds up really compactly and seems a bit lighter as well. Both are excellent choices.

I have the clicgear 3.0, great cart easy to roll, not sure you need a movable front wheel

Get a Clicgear!!!!  Everyone raves about them but I've heard great things about the Sun Mountain carts as well.  Just don't get a Bagboy.  The 'arm' on my Bagboy doesn't even support the weight of the golf bag so it collapses every time I need to make a turn.  It's annoying as hell.

You can pay a little less like I did ($100) and be pissed, or you can choose to pay a little more with no regrets.

I purchased Tour Trek One-Click Collapsible Push Cart from Golfsmith for $130. I've used it a few times and I love it. It holds my stand bag well, has all the features I wanted (esp. an umbrella holder) and the price was reasonable. It also feels sturdy. It folds down nicely and it's easy for me to carry to/from the car and store in my trunk or in my house.

I too am a Clicgear homer, I have the 2.0 and feel it's the best one available.  My key aspects of the cart are, the size it folds to, the solid tires and the cushioned handle.  I personally would not want a swivel front tire, I would think on rough terrain you would constantly have to be adjusting where the cart was moving.

Thanks guys ... as far as the swivel front tire - don't you have to lift the front tire off the ground so you can change direction ?       Never used one, but thats what I guy I played with told me is the downside to the 3 wheel push carts - you're constantly lifting the front tire off the ground to make even minor turning adjustments ??

I have a three-wheel cart with non-swivel front tire, and I've never had a problems with this.

I got a Sun Mountain SV1 push cart for Christmas this year and love, the price is steep and I wouldn't have spent 250$ on a pushcart (other priorities like wedges & such) but a great option is the Clicgear 3.0 push, it's priced at 230$ which is still steep, but is probably the best on the market in each category, durability,compact and many slots for various gear or accesories. Just whatever you do, don't get a 4wheel push cart !

You're killing me - LOL.     I spent a ton of time last night researching all these push carts & was almost sold on the 4 wheel push cart ... it's a bit cheaper, seems to fold up more compact & easier.       I gotta know, why don't you like the 4 wheelers ??

I don't know why, but seeing people wheeling those down the fairway makes me cringe, just don't know why.

Exactly. I sometimes use a 3-wheel Sun Mountain or a 2-wheel Bag Boy. I prefer the 2-wheel Bag Boy for its' lightness and manuverability. The 3-wheel Sun Mountain is better for a heavier bag and a full set of clubs, but it makes you feel like you are pushing a baby stroller down the fairway. O.K. for the ladies, but it makes me feel a bit uneasy. Often I just throw about 6 clubs into a Ping Moonlight II bag and walk & carry. Great exercise.

I have a 4 Wheel Bag Boy.  No problems, except it seems to be a little harder to push than my previous 3 wheel Bag Boy. Maybe because the wheels, while lighter are much wider.   My 3 wheel one lasted a couple of hundered rounds but it did not survive me backing over it with my car.

The Golfsmith brand Tour Trek is awesome, 3 wheels holds a stand bag perfectly and a cart bag as well. Umbrella holder, push break, accessory pouch, and easy to transport. With coupons at Golfsmith very inexpensive. I am a huge fan of mine have had it for over a year now.
