Hey guys, I am just wondering if I'm on the right track here. This year I decided to take golf seriously and play a few rounds. I've only played 10 rounds in my life, with occasional driving range outings and i'm consistent at 90-95 score on medium difficulty courses so far, is that decent or should I be shooting better by now? I cant hit the driver straight so I hit a 3 wood off the tee box, usually about 240-260 yards, I know this is killing my score. Besides improving everything, what area of my game should I focus on to hit low 80s? Thanks.

You are not consistently scoring 90 to 95 on medium difficulty courses after 10 rounds, I promise you.

Hitting 3 woods 240-260 would help anyone's score, not "kill" their score.

I am guessing that you are a troll.

In the race of life, always back self-interest. At least you know it's trying.

it's taken me just about 200 rounds over 2 years to consistently shoot low 90's.    My driver is 240 - if you're scoring legit, taking proper penalties, you're doing far better than average.   3w 260 is great if you can control it swinging that hard.

What kind of Troll?  The one under the bridge in Three Billy Goats Gruff or the full size Mountain Troll in Harry Potter ?   The Mountain Troll can hit a three wood about 280.
