Scheduling problem with AimPoint Sunday at Morongo, they are closing down the practice area at noon for a Canadian Tour event.  Going to try and figure something out and get back to everyone.

Found it ... it's the Canadian PGA Tour Qualifying School ... http://www.cantour.com/leagues/cantour_event.cfm?clientid=3776&leagueid;=11711&seasonnum;=2013

(Kinda funny if you think about it.  Why don't they have the qualifying school for the American PGA tour in Central Africa?)

Hey, instead of the Aimpoint class, maybe Mike and Erik will play in the tournament and the prize for the two highest finishers among the rest of us will be that we get to caddy for them???

In all seriousness though, Mike ... that first course that Tristan located (Oak Valley Golf Club) is directly across the freeway from Tukwet, so it would probably be no more than a 5 minute drive for everybody ... maybe you can do the Aimpoint class over there?

Good morning all,

I am a SoCal guy from Long Beach. I'd be interested in joining the April 7th outing - I've never played the Morongo course but have heard good things. Would be nice to meet everyone as well. Current index is a 12.5

We'd be glad to have you... If you haven't seen all of the info, it is on April 7th at the Champions course at Morongo (Tukwet Canyon). We are teeing off starting at 8 am and the cost is $50. Mike and Erik are planning to do both 5SK and Aimpoint schools so if you are interested PM Mike (mvmac) and he'll shoot you the details on those. GREAT pricing on those.

I admit that's that a great deal. I'm disappointed that I will out of town until Friday evening. I could really use the pitching help!

Cool. I assume you'll be playing with us as well or just attending the 5SK and Aimpoint?

Also, Mike, as far as Aimpoint goes, are there any updates as to location since Morongo won't work for that?

Yep Mr. D will be playing on Sunday.  No updates other than I'm working on it.  Sent Oak Valley a few emails and looking at other options.

    • Yea, so to clarify for me. I do not feel the clubface much in the swing. I feel the weight of the club. I can feel if I hit the club off the heel or toe. When I try to feel if the clubface is open or closed in the swing, I feel it more with my hands, and less of the clubhead. I would classify majority of my swings as not feeling like the clubface does much of all. It feels like I hold the clubface open. In the finish, it doesn't feel like my left hand faces the ground. It feels more like it faces the sky. I will try to be more aware of this, but it was just the sensation I got when I was making what felt like good swings. For the most part, I was hitting slight draws or slight pushes.  On this golf trip, I had to hit a low 8 iron around a tree to the green. I made an alignment adjustment, and actively try to roll my hands a bit more to get it to sling around the corner. I do have a habit of not adjusting how the clubface comes through impact, and I can still hit the ball straight-ish even moving the ball way back in my stance and trying to swing out more.  Yea, my feels are more hands and arms, less actually feeling the clubface.
    • That truly had me laughing. Thanks If anyone is interested Sun Day Red is live. I clicked on the hats, seem they are sold out. Shorts 130 bucks, shirts 120, everything seems to be sold out already, at least from what I clicked on. 130 for shorts, I'll pass.
    • I stopped reading after that to say "yes."
    • Wasn't he bitching a while back because he couldn't get a tee time at Augusta?
    • How many times has that horse been molested by drunken teenagers?  How many pictures, clean or dirty, have been taken with said horse? How many times has someone tried to hit it with a golf ball? How many times has someone tried to steal it? How many times have the owners called the cops on any of the above mentioned items? How many of the above mentioned items have you been directly involved in?
