Can I get a rough estimate on my clubs?

9 posts in this topic

I have Taylor Made R7 super quad driver, 3W, and 5W with MWT. I have 3-PW King Cobra CB irons and a Ping Piper putter. Everything is in very good condition. I'm just trying to he and idea because I'm debating on selling it so I can get a new car. Thanks. Oh, it also has a 2009 model Nike extrem golf bag.

unfortunately you won't get much money for that. I would say maybe $200 for it all.  It is only worth the amount someone is willing to pay for it.  those are really really really old clubs.  this would be a starter set for someone that doesn't want to pay to much for a set. good luck in selling it, i hope you get lots of money for it, but the factor or the matter is that not to many want your clubs unless they can get it for a steal.

That's not what I wanted to hear. I did forget to mention that the irons are the carbon CB irons and in 2010, the were rated the top set of irons available in Golf Digest. (that's what my neighbor said and is also whom I bought the iron set from.

The golf digest hot list is a glorified advertisement section.

Sounds like a good sales pitch by your neighbor. Check ebay's completed listings for the sales. Ebay would get you the most money for them and craigslist will get some one to buy them except probably for half as much.

R7 Super Quad driver:  $50

3W: $30

5W: $20 - if anyone would want it.

King Cobra CB Carbon irons: $150 - $200

Putter: $25 - $75 depending on which version of Piper.

Bag: $30

This assumes it's all in good - excellent condition and you find someone that would actually want to buy it.

When the King Cobra irons first came out a long time ago I wanted a set really bad but never could afford them. Nowadays the market and demand for those has so much competition. I saw a brand new set of Mizuno MX-200 at the pawn shop for $199 and didn't even think about buying them. Play it again has sets of clubs coming out of their ears. Only certain makes have strong followings for older equipment. Actually if they were Cobra woods and TM irons they would imo ironically be easier to sell.

Okay, thanks. I trust my neighbor when it comes to stuff like this but I'm sure the golf digest was an advertisement. My putter is the blue dot Karsten ping putter.

Check http://valueguide.pga.com/ you can see what the trade in value at a golf store would be and you can also see what the last one sold for on ebay.
