Count me and my son in as well (possibly my daughter, she would need to play from the ladies tees).

We had a great time, even posting horrible scores.

It did a great thing for him, it made him eager to practice :-)

He loved playing 7400 yards, and looks forward to getting his butt kicked by another hard round.

Excellent!  I think we're up to 19 or so people now.  This is great!

I don't think there are any PGA events starting right after we leave, so there shouldn't be any problems with the tee markers this time around. ;)

I also answer to Andy and Andrew, and for that matter, "hey, a**hole" works too. ;)

Hey GD sounds like your wife has the same name for you as mine!

Only mine changes from a**hole to FU and a few others..ha-ha.

Sounds like a GD a**hole would be the only person that would make a kid play from 7400!

I spoke with the guy at the course and asked if he'd set up the special "secret" tees for us that day and he said yes.  They're not even on the card, but they're 7700 yards!  I just have to remember to give him the password when we get there that day.  (It's "masochism")

Of course, I am kidding!

And, to be fair ... it wasn't 7400, it was about 7000.  Further, there was a slight misunderstanding because Erik was not given any ages, only handicaps, and set all of the under 16's to the 6800 tees (that unbeknownst to us were pushed back to 7k - actually more but we took care of it ;)) and all of the over 16's to one set forward at 6300 or something like that.

For Talega, I would recommend we play the blue tees ... which are at 6600 or so, and all people over handicap "x" (20, maybe??) play from the whites.  (And, of course, all females from the reds :))

He doesn't have any friends.  Also, forgot to mention, his punishment for bailing last time is that he, and he alone, has to play from the Copper tees!

Just talked to Mark, we are confirmed for June 23rd at 8:00 for 16 guys (which can be adjusted).  They couldn't do much with the price, got it down to $80.

LOL ... Beachcomber pretending like he has "people."  That's cute.

Great job Mike!  Can't wait for the 23rd!

    • Day (2 May 24) - somehow I missed posting both Tues and Weds practice sessions - so the streak ends and a new one begins…. Focus today was on ball first contact using the Divot Board for reference.   Worked with 7i, 9i and GW hitting hard foam balls.  Started hap hazardly and then settled back into my pre-shot setup.  Much more consistent in the latter.
    • So, Newey is out at Red Bull. Where does he go in a year? Is Max still with RBR in 2026? Hmmmm.
    • August 2010 Woodfin Ridge 18th hole Playing in a large tournament with a slew of friends and the last day was two man best ball. The 18th, when it was bent grass, was very fast due to a steep slope on the right side. I had seen many people over the years putt off the green from above the hole. I hit a great drive and 3W to 30’ left of the hole. With everyone watching my partner hit it way too fast and never high enough and his ball rolled all the way to the bottom of the green.  I hit mine much higher and the ball came to rest about 20” above the hole. Then it slowly started trickling towards the hole for a walkoff eagle! Nobody said anything except my partner who was yelling pretty loudly. I looked at the crowd and told them it was okay to clap because it was a great putt, and they gave me a bunch of polite golf claps and brought me a beer!
    • Day 127: 5/2/24 Stack Full Speed spectrum training session 6/24. Training speed was 5 mph higher than previous high, as was e-speed. Still not as high as I have done in previous programs, but just 1 mph lower. Battling through a neck issue, and possible trigger fingers. Happy with results.
    • Day 49. Played 9 from tees a bit beyond my comfort zone and was humbled. Hit a couple good shots so will take that at least.
