Gives too much of a gap at the short end. The irons I have are very strong loft wise, I'd have to carry 5 wedges to cover the shorter distances. I could be wrong about not wanting to hit my 9 iron that long though, just seems a bit much?

Buy a new wedge, and drop the longest iron you have.

Almost guaranteed. Contact is an issue, which also costs distance.

I did a video once on "getting your hands down faster." I guess it was never a 5SK video.

No. It was one where I demonstrated never getting the arms down with getting the arms down too quickly. The former was on the left IIRC.

Nope, sorry. If I knew where it was off-hand, or even a few yards away from my hand (??? :D), I'd add it. I think it had big green and red circles drawn too, and I traced the clubhead path? Maybe?

Isn't that the weight forward for secondary axis tilt video? That's the only one I remember with green and red circles. Edit: never mind, you found it.

So, went to the range and worked on half swings..... Not a fun time, hit almost everything to the right.... I'll keep working on it, but yea, not fun.

ps yeah my 1/2 swing feeling is nowhere near a half swing, that's 9 iron swing

Also, yeah, I'm still flipping big time and it's annoying the crap out of me. I did some of the preset drills and hit them pretty well then went into "1/2 swing" full shots and even though it "felt" like I wasn't flipping the video showed that I was as much or more than before.

One idea is to move the ball two balls back from your front foot instead of the middle.. If you flip you will most likely hit it fat really bad.. Also don't just do half swing feel, jus try 10% swings first and move up to 20% and so on. It is worth a shot unless there is something else very specific you are working on..

Ok, so I played 39 holes today. It was up and down but towards the end I started focusing on keeping "connected", I think that's the term. Basically I kept the feeling of my arms touching my sides. After that I had a lot of really nice high draw shots. I hit a lot of greens in reg but my putting had gone to crap and 3 putted a lot. This was keeping me from coming over the top and I think it also kept me from flipping so much because almost all of my approach shots hopped and stopped. I'll try to get to the range this week to film my swing. I'm sure this ruined my "stupid monkey" try but when I stumbled on this it was very consistent as long as I didn't squeeze my arms to my sides because that caused a really flat swing. Does any of what I just said even make sense?

It definitely was working, just wish my putting didn't go to crap. My distance control was pretty much horrid, I didn't hit them hard enough today. On another positive note, I left the course with more golf balls then I started with, I had plenty of time to search for them because the course was pretty busy and I need to kill time.

      I think I like this hole.  It is a clear "Risk-Reward" choice.  Since most of the shots in your cone cleared the bunkers I would say they are a minor risk and not a big issue.  Playing the aggressive line may give you 70ish yards in from what looks to be playable rough while conservative play is 120ish from fairway.  I know you said 70 vs 120 is minor for you but how does the approach angle in impact your results?  I figure both strategies are playing for Birdie since holing out from either is mostly luck. Looking at your proximity hole I think it says @ 50 feet when hitting from the fairway from 100-150 and 40 feet if hitting 50-100 from the rough.  Neither of those is an easy birdie putt.   I like the approach angle from the rough between the bunkers & the adjacent tees over the angle from @ 120 in the fairway but I really do not like the idea of hitting onto the adjacent tee boxes and that may impact my confidence with making the shot.  Also, too far left may be a worse approach angle then from the fairway short of the bunkers. For me this may come down to how confident do I feel when I reach that tee box.  If I am stroking it well off the tee leading up to the hole I would try for over the bunkers and the better angle in but if I am struggling that day I would likely opt for the fairway to take more bad stuff out of play.
