I like to stick to dri-fit or similar type polo shirts. As for style, I really try to stay away from what I consider to be trends. I don't spend money on clothes that I feel there is a reasonable chance that I will look at myself in a picture in a few years and wonder what I was thinking. Weird funky patterns like that are much more likely to go out of fashion in short periods of time. Solid color or stripe shirts that aren't overly loud will have more staying power, in my mind.

I disagree slightly.

I DO feel most golf fashion is hideous.  I buy relatively expensive golf gear, but my selection is limited to pretty conservative patterns/colors.  Most of the shirts I have are variations of dark blue, white and black.  The reasons I stick to these colors is because all of the other ones appear to be neon/pastel color combinations that are hideous to me.  I wouldn't even consider them outside of a golf course.  One of my favorite navy blue shirts has neon green trim/lining.  WTF?

Anyway, the reason I disagree (slightly), is because these color combinations started a few years before Rickie Fowler.  I think Fowler's impact has mostly been on headgear and brightly colored footwear.  Perhaps even color-coordinated clubs.  But the ugly shirts/shorts/pants thing has been around for a while.

I don't think it's hideous. Would I wear it? Probably not. I, like a few of the other guys have stated, tend to be more conservative in my clothing selections. I wouldn't go out and buy any of Rickie Fowler's outfits, but if Puma wanted to pay me to wear them, I'll gladly put on that bright orange or green outfit. As for the flat brim hats, no thanks. Reminds me too much of my Little League days when the hats were huge and the brims were made of something like drywall that refused to bend.

But I will say that, after watching some of these "Greatest Rounds Ever Played" on Golf Channel, I think the fashion has improved. Watching what some of these guys were wearing just 10 years ago is pretty funny. Was never a fan of the super baggy pants and shirts.

Mostly solids for me.  I know that the tour guys are endorsing what they wear but since TGC shows the week's work of clothing to be worn during the week of a Major for say, a Nike guy like Rory McIlroy, it looks like they don't even get to dress themselves anymore.  Most of today's patterned golf clothing is stuff that I would never buy.  Although I'm not his biggest fan the Tiger Woods collection is simple enough to appeal to my sense of style.

I think it's funny when a 25 year old me walks into the pro shop for check in and i'm wearing conservative khaki shorts, a solid FJ shirt, and white/tan FJ shoes with a tan belt and a sun hat and I'm standing behind a 55 year old guy in bright yellow shorts, lime green shirt, and white shoes/belt topped off with a flat bill puma hat.  Makes me lose my shit.

There is still a lot of good looking apparel out there that appeals to me.  Those pictured...I personally don't like them but many do.  Most are younger than me.  I am a bit more into classic styling myself.  Maybe that's because I'm becoming a classic...or is that just OLD. Hmmm, I can't remember.

Usually stick to solid colored clothes as far as Golf goes. I'm part of that "younger generation with no fashion sense" so some of the ones brought up seem nice to me. Guess it's just my blatant lack of fashion sense though

      Day 38 (18 Dec 25) - got out in the backyard with grandson this afternoon.  We got into a little game of pitching the ball from about 25yds to a target point just off the asphalt lane behind the backyard.  Goal - just clear it with a quick hop and stop.  Focused on using the wedge swing motion I was talking with the course pro yesterday….smooth and thru just bruising the grass.  In addition to a concentrated focus on technique, it also called for a quiet mind locked in on target point.  Rehearsed this with both the 50° and 55° wedges.

      I listened to the Shaun Webb one about the swing coach app. Sounds like a great thing and will (hopefully) be very useful for me. I do think the hosts are underestimating where AI could be in a few years. Right now it's just regurgitating stuff that it has been told or it has scrubbed from somewhere else and a human guiding things will be quite a lot more helpful than just the AI, but it's going to keep developing and it will reach the stage where it's figuring this stuff out on its own. Time will come when it will have you do a TPI style screen and take various height/arm length/leg length etc. measurements, have you tell it some history and your time constraints and goals and what not and it will watch a video of your swing face on and DTL and it will know exactly what you need to work on.

      I found it entertaining, but the announcing was lousy.  How did the measuring on the final shot start with Rory being closer and being told he won, and then with no explanation it turns out Scottie won?  Weird.
