They still need a lot of help, but all the chips fell perfectly today to keep the Chargers slim playoff hopes alive. They won and both Miami and Baltimore lost. Repeat this pattern next week and the Chargers are in! Go Chargers! Go Bengals! And go Jets!!!

Sounds like an Elton John song "Go Bennie and the Jets".

I'd say that hoping for the Jets to do anything is a bit of a fantasy this year.  The way they have been going, since they won this week, next week is a sure reversal.  It would be a gold star for our division to have 3 out of 4 teams all make the playoffs.  Says even more to the quality of Denver and KC.  That or it says a lot about the dismal state of the AFC in general.

The Chefs could conceivably finish with the 2nd best record in the NFL, yet they won't get a home game.  I think that their limited versatility has been exposed.  An offense with 2 weapons (Bowe and Charles), and a defense which has not stood up well against better offenses would seem to point to them not going far in the playoffs.

If Andy Reid plays it like he always did in Philly, he will not play the game next Sunday to win, as he is already locked into his playoff slot. He'll let the team get stale and they will lose in the first round. I like was Chip Kelly did last night, playing it for real in a meaningless game and keeping his team sharp.

How was yesterday's game meaningless for the Eagles? They still haven't clinched a playoff spot.

Once Dallas won in the afternoon, it didn't matter what the Eagles did last night. Even if they lost, they would still be playing Dallas for the Division title next Sunday. It was meaningless.

Even with that win they still can't catch any of the other wild card teams unless they win next week.  But once they've done that, they've wrapped up the division, so their game last night really meant nothing. (Mathematically, at least)

Chefs Rick?  Are we talking Guy Fieri and Bobby Flay?  Both Indy and KC seem to change week to week.  One week they are very dangerous and play at the very high level.  The next, they struggle.  I think both will be dangerous in the playoffs though.

I think phan is correct, Dallas is 5-0 in the division so they get the tiebreaker.  I'm pretty sure Philly needs to win next week to win the division since Dallas has the better divisional record.  The win this week didn't help them unless there's some crazy wild card scenario where SF loses the next two games and NO  loses next week that would allow Philly to back in.
