Thanks 'Cipher' will check it out.

Always birdies and pars, Henry The room for improvement is vast that three lifetimes could be spent roaming the fairways, carving away at it, convinced that prefection lies just over the next rise. And that hope, perhaps,is the kindest bliss of all that golf bestows upon its devotees. - John Updike

@jbishop15 so far The Art of Fielding is great, but I had to put it on hold to finish Four Fish. I borrowed it from a friend and he wants it back. I learned about it (The Art of Fielding) from the Inside the PGA Tour with Roberto Castro. He has a website called all things that are good. He raves about this book, and if anyone is into music he has some great insights on his favorite record stores around the country. P.S. Finished LSW last week, and it was amazing. I will be posting a review shortly.

'Fielding' is really good. Glad you're reading it and are liking it. Might reread it, actually, now that I'm finally finished with 'For Whom the Bell Tolls'.

Just read The Captain about Jeter & The Breaks of the Game. TBOTG Is one of the best sports books I've ever read. Highly recommend it. The Captain is very good too.

I just finished reading The Scarlet Letter, and am currently reading "A world lit only by fire; the medieval mind and the renaissance, portrait of an age".

Plus I just ordered Lowest score wins, so I am about to startreading that once it comes in.

I'll be starting John Irving's In One Person as soon as I finish the last few chapters of James Michener's Space. I've said this a million times on here, but I'll say it again, John Irving is one of the greatest novelists of all time. I think he's right up there in the same pantheon as Charles Dickens. I'm so happy to be rediscovering him in recent years. In my younger day's I read The World According to Garp, The Cider House Rules, A Prayer for Owen Meany and The Hotel New Hampshire so many times the covers fell off. Earlier in the year I read Until I find You for the first time and fell in love with his writing all over again. Every time I finish one of his novels I feel as though I've become a better person with a greater capacity to love. Seriously good shit! :-P

Just started reading 'The Great Political Theories: From the French Revolution to Modern Times', edited by Michael Curtis.

Not sure how long its going to take me to get through, considering my senior year of college starts on Monday. But it'll get read one way or another.

Awesome read. Lots of information for a relatively short book.

Just finished Nixonland by Rick Perlstein and just got his follow-up, The Invisible Bridge. I'll get to that after I finish Wild Tales by Graham Nash.

    • Musgrove Mill hole #15 was converted to a par 3 after Hurricane Helene. Today, I had 145 from the tee which is a perfect 9-iron for me. I aimed just right of the hole and pulled it a few feet. Clanked off the stick down into the hole and ricocheted out of the hole 13’ away. Drained the putt for a birdie after repairing the hole which was damaged . Not sure if it would have counted as a HIO, but I was pretty excited!
    • Day 55 - 2024-11-24 Did five levels of Operation 36 on GSPro (different courses). 🙂 Was -4 from 200 yards (32) intentionally laying up on each hole (i.e. not hitting a 5I or something). Shot… 22, 24, 26 from 25, 50, and 100 yards. I forget my 150-yard score, but obviously it was < 36. Putting was odd… (and I did it with the wedge or a 7I or whatever was in my hand).
