How could a 2-wheeled cart ever be preferred to a 3-wheeler?

I have both. Although I usually carry, when I decide to take a cart, I select the 2-wheeler 90% of the time. It is lighter, more agile, and doesn't look like a baby stroller. It doesn't need a brake to keep it from rolling away. You can push or pull a 2-wheeler if you want to, something that really doesn't work well with 3 wheels. The only thing a 3-wheeler does a bit better is to handle a very large, heavy bag.

You can push ... a 2-wheeler if you want to,

Maybe it's because I'm tall, but I've never found this to be very true.  You start to push a two-wheeler and the terrain changes a bit and the bottom of the bag digs into the ground and the handle buries into your groin.

I'm not a cart-er, so it doesn't affect me much, but I thought about it at one point and experimented with my dad's old two-wheeler and my brothers current 3-wheeler.  It took about 2 seconds for me to realize that 3-wheelers are 1000% better for me.

(Most of the time I use four-wheelers with motors though ;))  Or when I do walk, I carry.

You don't need to hit a brake pedal.

The brake hasn't worked on my Sun Mountain in years, and I've not had a problem.

2 wheeler is lighter and doesn't take up most of my trunk. If you have an apartment and have to climb three flights of stairs, a 3 wheeler is a problem.

I have a fondness for a little (and I do mean little) 3-wood I had in high school and throughout college.  It was a Taylor Made "Cleek."  Same concept as the "Raylor" with 3 or 4 little rails along the bottom of the tiniest clubhead you've ever seen.  And to top it off, it was bent at the hosel, but for some reason, it worked really well for me. Hmmmm, now I wonder if I have it laying around in my parents garage somewhere. Here's a pic of one ... GD you must have picked up my old cleek after I traded it in. And the hosel was bent because I used to slam it on the ground a lot. :-)

Definitely the Titleist 975's. Those were the posh drivers to have back when I was playing in high school. Old Ping Anser putters. The owner of the golf course I worked at in high school had an incredible collection of them.

Also, found these in an antique store today (lol). Was very close to picking them up for a mere $50. I may go back and get them tomorrow.

T-zoid Pro-II is the best iron ever made!!!  If I found a set in great condition I'd have a hard time passing.  I played this stick from 1996-2007 and absolutely loved them.

I talked them to $50 from $60, I think it's still a good deal. The faces were in really good shape, and I don't mind the bag chatter.

    • It's been a little more than a year since I can last remember hitting golf balls and today I just got my second cortisone injection in 11 months. I thought maybe shortly after the first injection I was going to be able to start playing again with therapy but the pain while doing my backswing past halfway just didn't subside like just lifting my hands up in the air did. So today the Orthopedic surgeon put more in the backside of the shoulder than before to address the tendon more. I'm going to try therapy for another 3 months and if I  can't swing the club without pain then I think surgery is going to be my next option.
    • I was just down visiting family in southern California and we played a couple rounds of golf. I hit my ball into the deep rough near some tree's and my cousin's husband offered me his Sim 2 Rescue Hybrid to try out. And I felt the same way, wow! I loved it, it also had a Pure DTX grip on it which I loved. As soon as I got back home, I ended up buying two used Calloway Rogue X hybrids, 3 and 5. So far I've only tested them out at the range, but I love them. They're much more forgiving than irons for me.
