Consistent heal hits/Equipment changes

I'm really consistent... just near the heal. I took some powder spray and you can see the results. The attached pic is about 3 balls off my hybrid... so consistent... just not where I want it.

Doesn't matter if I address the ball off the toe or any other address changes. If I try to miss the ball totally (swing just in front), I can strike the center... but when I'm nervous... I short circuit and end up doing something weird.

So my question is... are there any equipment changes I can make to make my strike as consistent but at the center of the clubface? Somebody mentioned to flatten the lie angle of the club... I just don't get it? Thoughts? Thank you!

I'll chime in...I was doing this and noticed as I was coming down on my swing my right shoulder was moving forward causing the club to move outward. Try some half swings with soft tempo and focus on keeping the right shoulder from moving forward toward the ball. Down and thru yes...but not forward.

But equipment changes....true...you can have a lie that's too upright or flat for you...you've probably heard of the Ping dot color system? Do you only have this problem with this club?

For a shot that far off the heel it is more than likely a swing fault rather than an equipment/fitting error.

I think it's something in your swing, or maybe your just a tad to close to the ball.

This was my failure, had a lot off shanks because off being to close to the ball

just a tad further away and i'm striking it well again. It will feel so weird tho, just a few inch will feel

like a foot.

Every club!

For a shot that far off the heel it is more than likely a swing fault rather than an equipment/fitting error.

Thank you for your honesty.  If I told you I'm naturally good hitting from the sand (meaning I hit it fat) without any swing changes, would this clue you in to a particular fault?

Good chance the weight isn't far enough forward at impact, when this happens the path is likely to be left or across the ball. Couple drills

Most of us are looking for equipment that's going to make us better when in reality its just that are swings are littered with flaws. If I was you I'd save the money on replacing the clubs and get a lesson. If you have a decent camera and want very affordable lessons send a pm Mike. You can get online leasons from guys who really know what they are doing.

Most of us are looking for equipment that's going to make us better when in reality its just that are swings are littered with flaws.

I can go out and play with my wife's clubs (stealing an Erik example) and still play decent, shoot in the 70's. With clubs that are too light, too flat, too short and shafts that are too weak. I'm not going to suddenly shank, top, fat, hit it way off the toe, heel because the clubs aren't perfectly fit for me. If I do it's because of the swing I made.

To be clear I'm not saying getting fit is a waste of time, just that more often than not it's the indian, not the arrow.

I was just hoping I could get to single digits with some lead tape... would have been nice.

I was just battling the same thing and it slowly evolved into the shanks! I had a golf pro look at my swing and I was delivering the club into the slot good but once there I was pushing my right hand out toward the ball and away from my body too much. My feel is trying to keep my right hand close to my belt.
