what do these golf terms mean?

I've got an old instructional video that breaks golfers down into three types: arc players, width players, and leverage players. But it doesn't define these terms, and the corresponding video doesn't help. Any ideas what these terms mean?

Also, the Golf Channel has recently started using the term, in describing tour pros swings -- he or she "covers the ball." Unless they're talking about striking the ball with a descending blow or swinging inside out, I have no idea what what means. Any ideas?

They mean whatever the guy saying them at the time wants them to mean.

Their ambiguity is one of the reasons I hate terms like this. Unless each is defined nearly every time it's used, they're usually pretty terrible.

Every golfer plays on an arc, has some width and leverage. I agree with Erik, pointless catch phrases that mean nothing.

Agree these terms are mostly an opening for kookery.  But the term "cover the ball" helps me sometimes, at least the way I interpret it, basically a mental image to not thrust the hip center towards the ball or pull or arch the upper back away from the ball.
