Ryan Moore Switches to Miura Irons

Notorious club ho Ryan switched to the Miura PP-9003 cavity back irons last week at the John Deere classic.

So let the countdown begin until he's back to his PING irons

There's a good chance Ryan is gaming the straight neck(less offset) version

He's been with TMAG for a couple years now but never played the irons (if he did they didn't last long). A lot of TMAG guys just have contracts for the driver, fairway and hybrid and play whatever they want for the rest of the set. Typically see these guys use Titleist, Mizuno or PING irons.

Great all around irons - the PP-9003. I assume they have a sole grind/bounce to fit his swing. The straight necks would suit a professional. Nothing super-duper about them in terms of technology. Just a traditional, well designed club.

You see this, it seems, every year. A touring pro will use Miuras for a few tourneys and then switch to something else...

I have had only three sets in my life.  Can switching irons a lot be hazardous to your game?  At Ryan's level, I would think altering his shot zones could be the difference between winning and losing.
