We do?  This is the first I'm hearing of this.  You have a source?  I seem to remember John Harbaugh saying that they didn't notice anything unusual about the balls in their game (but perhaps that was because he was too busy not knowing the rules). ;)

In the boston herald.

I think the Ravens complained about the kicking balls, which made no sense because those are shared. Doesn't mean they didn't tip them off. Their complaint just sounds iffy. See, I can be reasonable.

Brady lied in his press conference. He claims that he likes the ball at 12.5, yet could not feel the difference with the under-inflated ball. If you cant tell, why would 12.5 be the magical number you like.

And no way Belicheat didnt know about the shenanigans - this guy knows what girl his players banged 10 years ago.

They opted to play dumb - Goodell has a choice - either they get severely punished or he finds himself out of work

Well no one asked what he was comparing to. Maybe hew as comparing it to the practice ball they use. Saying he likes under-inflated football is meaningless until we know what it is compared to. For all we know he might not be comparing it to NFL regulations.

Why not? There is a big difference knowing what his players might be getting into trouble with compared to checking the balls every game himself to make sure they pass regulation. Again, he delegates those meaningless tasks to the equipment guys so he doesn't have to worry about it. This allows him to solely focus on his players and game planning.

Couldn't disagree more about the Rogers comparison. He presents a fat ball and asks for permission. The pats, in this unlikely scenario, heat up the ball so that it passes inspection then morphs into something illegal.

If you're right about the video, then where is it? That would take 10 minutes and this would be over.

Chris Cooley speculated that it would be easy to hide a needle in your Hand and deflate the ball. They're everywhere because they're used on helmets, and the ball boy is always wiping the ball with a towel. If that's your job, you could easily spend a couple hours perfecting how to hide it with the towel and stick the needle in for 5 seconds to deflate.

Yet the ball is not illegal at the time of testing. The NFL rules say the ball must be in a certain range. Yet that certain range is at the time of testing the ball, not game time. If they wanted a consistent ball then the NFL should hire a guy to make sure the balls are at the range during the game. If the Patriots found a way to make the balls legal at the time of testing and pass regulation then they are legal by the rules. Yet still the officials can deem a ball not eligible during the game anyways. I am not sure what the scenario would be if they kept throwing balls out till there were none left available.

The rule was changed to allow teams to prep the ball however they want, at the request of Manning and Brady. Yet he now claims essentially to have nothing to do with preparing the ball other than to say he likes it at 12.5.

That rule was specifically made to allow the players to wear the ball out a bit. The QB's hate a brand new ball because it is too slippery. So? Peyton got them to create a rule that allows the teams to prep the ball to proper PSI, and they can do what ever they want to the outside of the ball to wear it down or scuff it up a bit. In the end though the ref can throw out the ball if they want to. It has nothing to do with this. Brady spends time before each game going over the best 24 balls he likes and then they are passed to the refs who pick 12 that fit in regulation.

Just saying that he seemed to be really interested in making the ball the way he likes it, and others have described detailed involvement by the QB, so I find it hard to believe that he just leaves it up to others and picks out a couple before the game. That's all. It just doesn't seem to add up for me. let's remember that as much as some of you want to make up scenarios like them cook g the football so it passes, and you want to call that legal, the pats have not said that. They claim no knowledge. You guys are making up defenses that the defendants deny.

Since that video does little to help your case, it may be a good time to run and save face

Have you ever read anything on this guy? He makes his rookies cry with pop quizzes as they walk down the hallway. He micro manages like no other. He may not know the exact measurement of the balls, but he knows if tommy boy is cheating. He is an evil man that just cant help himself when it comes to cheating. The parallels with nixon are insane.

At this point, Kraft will probably do something minor to save his boy Goodell.

NBC gave two college players two balls, one regular one 2 psi less, and let them have a catch. They immediately knew which was which without question. Tom probably can't tell, even though he knows he prefers 12.5 to 13. Then again, theisman tried both and couldn't tell.

That's a really dumb name for that, BTW ... they weren't spying on anybody, they were taping things that they were perfectly free to be witnessing with their own eyes, things that were out in the open.  Should just have been called "tapegate" or "videogate." Well, except for the whole stupidity that is the medias collective lack of imagination.  "What, there is a scandal?  OK, take the word and add gate to the end of it and we got our headline!!!  God dammit we are so clever!!!!!!!!!!!!" Makes you wonder ... what did they call scandals before 1972?

How "bout Ballghazi? Can't take credit for that...thanks Eric Bolling, Fox News.

He does pick them out. He sits down and actually goes through and chooses the 24 balls that go to the refs. Then the refs choose 12 of them that are with in regulation. I never said he doesn't have influence on which balls get picked. I am sure that the process to get the ball just the way Brady likes it is a routine the equipment guys know by heart.

I know he picked them out. Im saying i think he is more involved than he claimed.
Mark Brunell: "I did not believe what Tom had to say. Those balls were deflated. Somebody had to do it. I don't believe there's an equipment manager in the NFL that would, on his own initiative, deflate a ball without the starting QB's approval ... That football is our livelihood. If you don't feel good about throwing that ball? Your success on the football field can suffer from that." Jerome Bettis: "I'm so disappointed because I thought this was a perfect opportunity for Tom Brady to go and say 'You know what? I made a mistake. I blew it. It's on me. I'll take the blame here, and this will go away.' He didn't do that ... I'm disappointed in you, Tom Brady." Brian Dawkins: "This is unbelievable. For you not to know what you touch every play? ... The equipment manager is being thrown under the bus now. Now he's the guy. Now he's the one responsible. He took it upon himself to doctor up the balls when nobody else knew about it? That hard [to believe]."
]

This certainly pales in comparison to the other issues. Also, the golden boy is getting skewered. Big headlines on ESPN and si flat out calling him a liar and, by extension, a cheat.

Then again, theisman tried both and couldn't tell.

So the college players had a fifty percent chance of getting it right. When I was a young college student I was sure of everything even though I was wrong just as often as right. Theisman's opinion is far more telling then a couple of young college players. In the heat of a championship game I am sure that the last thing on BRADY's mind is the ball pressure.

I've been calling for Goodell to lose his job since the Ray Rice fiasco so this is just another example at how he and the league are screwing things up.
