Watson's a guy who might do that, meaning pick some lesser names and try to shock the world. But the opportunity for 24-4 rout would be there too.

Its bad. Too many good Euros right now. Throw in Poulter who no matter how bad he is playing, will be a factor at the Ryder Cup, and you got a recipe for a blowout. Bubba might be the only intimidation factor USA has on the team this year. Furyk is playing more consistent than anyone this season, but I dont think he is gonna get into Rose or Rory's head.

So they come on early just show an hour and a half of live coverage this morning and then say "Screw it"....we'll show the rest on tape. What a bunch of morons.

Same thing like last week, really disappointing

Finally a solid round (so far) from Luiten. -2 after 11. Hope he finds his form again on time for the PGA Championship.

Went to -3, and then on the last three holes bogey-bogey-double bogey to end on +1. His play recently must be killing him (and his fans).

Hey, you still have Robert Jan Derksen and his bowl cut for the rest of the year!

Worried about next week. Lots of afternoon storms expected and the PGA has a history of not moving up tee times in major championships. They need to take a lesson from The Open and move them up if the forecast is ominous. Almost ruined The Players this year not doing so.

I just want to be able to watch it live with no tape delay, i'll take a monday finish if I absolutely have to. I do think they should move it up, but move the tv schedule as well..

I like Fowler. He's been playing so well but the guy never wins.. I think he has only one PGA tour victory in his entire career...he's gotta break out soon.. I hope. I'd love to see him win the PGA and dominate the Ryder Cup.

Hehe :) Nice player and a even nicer person. But in quality never even close to what Luiten can do (and did). For the future my hopes are on Huizing as well as Luiten. Young player. His debut year on the European Tour so far is not good enough though.

I just saw Rory smash another drive. It's absolutely incredible. As far is ball striking specifically with the Driver club....I'd do anything to hit it like McIlroy does...

Yeah, his driver has been lights out lately. No fear!

Yours in earnest, Jason.

Tiger needs to stick a 1&2 iron in his bag and dump the woods until further notice.

Tape delay... what the beejesus is that?

The telecast was live via the uplink on G3C at 95 degrees West, TP Frq 3827 H, SR 3827 and 3836.

Also some coverage on Ku-Band at AMC 16, 12024 H 7200 and 12033 H 7200 .

Audio via the Dolby-E decoder.

I have absolutely no idea what this means.

Most of the distributed TV signals via the main production truck (for sports) or studios (for TV shows) are done via C-Band satellite, which are the large satellite dishes to deter from rain fade.  Some are also done on the small satellite dishes... which have a 5 digit frequency number such as 12024.

So if you have either of these dishes and a motor, you can get the raw broadcast uplinked from the production truck straight, without commercials!  Not to mention the quality is beyond Blu-ray, as there isn't as much compression (35 Mbps vs. 10 Mbps for Dishnet / DirecTV).  There are no commercials, and during such time, you can hear the producers talk to the announcers about the replays they are cueing when coming back from commercials... so you get to see a lot of behind the scenes stuff.  Truly amazing.  The way sports (and other shows) are meant to be seen.

I think this is illegal

    • Back in my Army days a "gooch" was a particular part of the anatomy. Example, say Okeechobee is the b-hole of Florida, then Belle Glade would be the gooch. Seems he wears his name well.
    • I can't say that I remember a lot of individual putts, but I do have one specific memory.  The first time I played the Old Course, I had hit a pretty good drive on the 6th hole.  I had about 60 yards left, and due to the swale in front of the green, there was no chance of flying a wedge on or near the green and having it stop on the green.  My caddie recommended either a running 7-iron chip or a putt, and I took the putter and a pretty hard swing.  The ball rolled over humps and through hollows, disappeared into the swale in front of the green, and re-appeared heading right at the hole.  I ended up maybe 12 feet away.  The caddie turned and held out his hand to shake mine, and said "Now THAT was a golf shot!"
    • For the first time since 2021, I made a 3 on the 12th at Stoneleigh.    395 yards, something like 80 feet uphill, I hit a solid drive and a 7-wood to inside a foot.  Even I couldn't miss that one.  I feel like I haven't played a lot of golf this year, but I'm making decent progress.
