Des, you are correct. Maybe I could've worded my recommendation differently....

For me, the limitation in the torque cart was the lack of hosels. The only options he had were curved neck style hosels. Nothing plumber style, which was apparently what I needed. On top of that, nothing he showed me was aesthetically pleasing, because of the hosels.

Forgot to mention I got the pixel insert.

Hey, you got your putter! That's what counts.

I like the pixl - looks cool, too.

Because of that torque balanced design, I do not know if they can offer any traditional hosel other than the curved shaft.

You did right! Got custom fit!

As to aiming right, it happens with standard heads, too. Adding sight lines in a certain configuration, from my understanding, will help you aim towards the left if you aim right (without them).

Sight lines can shift a person's aim right or left. It just depends on how they "see" straight. There's almost no real pattern… maybe 60/40 but even then you're talking about how much it depends on WHICH lines and WHICH heads, etc.

Edel fitters have  fitted me twice with standard fittings, and once with the torque balanced, and the torque balanced works great for me.

Yes, if you can fit into the three heads and three hosels, just by changing the lines/dots, then the E series will work well. If you cannot, the standard system is still available in many locations.

@colin007 , share pictures when you get it!

Yeah, the first fitter put me in the midsize head, looks like a wide Anser, and when he put lines on it the lines shifted me even farther out to the right. The second fitter had a chart that helped him get me the right lines. Yup, the three hosels did not work for me. I thought all of the heads were pretty though. I will! Most definitely!

Here it is: Overall I am happy with it, a little disappointed I didn't get a cool star stamp, and I was hoping to get the cursive style edel logo instead of the wonky stamped individual letters, but overall I am happy with. Stroked a few putts last night, the ball felt great coming off of the face. I got to get used to the look of the putter being a little closed, but I am sure that will come in due time. Taking the day off from work tomorrow to go play a round with it!

Looks great, congrats!

Once you realize that all of the putts, especially those <10' or so, are going exactly where you are intending them to go, you will get very used to it, I believe.  And as that happens, you might even retrain your eyes to realize that it doesn't look closed, but looks square.

Good luck!!

Once you play with it, like Drew says, the doubt disappears.

Round grip?

Mine was not exactly what I wanted as to the paint job, but once I started using it, I did not care. It's a tool, and the paint job or script in the long run means nothing.

Agree.  Anybody who looks at my putter and says it's ugly or not as nice as a Scotty, or whatever - I don't argue with them.  It's certainly not the "prettiest" putter out there, by any means.  But it gets the ball in the hole, and that's all I care about.

Plus I can't see any of the design while I'm addressing the ball anyway.  (I just like that it has my name on it ;))

Yes I went with the round grip, I was skeptical at first, but it really does feel pretty solid in my hands (had a flat front one previously). As a graphic designer, the fact some of the letters don't line up bothers me, but being a creative this is balanced out by the fact it was hand stamped and authentic.

Thanks all! Will have to post how it feels after my round tomorrow.

Question. Did you guys get email updates from Edel? Like estimated date of completion, when it would ship, delivery info?

Yes.  The day I had my fitting, a Saturday, I received a "Welcome to the Edel Family" email, then the following Monday I received a "Your putter is now in production" email.  On that Friday, came a "UPS Quantum Notification" that shipping info was transmitted to them.  The following Tuesday I got a thank you note with my invoice receipt and then a Delivery Notice from UPS that same day.

Thanks GD.I got the "welcome" email, but none of the others. Tomorrow will be ten days after the fitting. I know that the fitter spelled my email incorrectly initially, which delayed me getting the welcome email for a few days. They were able to see that it is in production two days ago, but no email yet about that.

It took 11 business days from when I saw the "In Production" email, until I called them and asked where it was.... they said it was shipping that day and they would send email with tracking.

So you didn't get an email about it being in production or the UPS shipping email?

I've ordered 2 putters, irons, wedges over the last 5 years, and have yet to receive a "Welcome" email. I was not expecting one. I can't get no respect.... :-$

At the same time, when they were late, they threw in a ball cap or other goodie.

With that many clubs ordered, you're like Family to them, so it would be weird for them To welcome you. ;)

Yes, the forgotten black sheep of the family...

I let my guy know the next time I want the handcrafted divot tool as my goodie... ;-)

Which reminds me, I need to take some decent shots of the E-1 and optional head cover.
