That is huge news..

I think a suspension is a huge possibility now.. I know that he has to go surrender himself to the authorities in Texas so this probably played a part in having him Deactivated.

Also, The child was only 4 years old and not 11 according to the article.. Take a look at the pictures, it is pretty brutal to beat a 4 year old like that I would say.

The doctor told investigators that the boy had a number of lacerations on his thighs, along with bruise-like marks on his lower back and buttocks and cuts on his hand. The police report says the doctor described some of the marks as open wounds and termed it “child abuse.” Another examiner agreed, calling the cuts “extensive.”

Why not? As horrible as it may be, it isn't my kid or anyone I'm affiliated with. The only way this directly affects me is through my fantasy teams lol.

And yes, Asiata sucks...but he may now be a starting RB.

Completely agree that a 4 year old should not be punished with such conviction, and the injuries were pretty bad.

Reading further into his many past relationships and the number of children he fathered, I would say that these children must live a pretty miserable life from the start.

It is important to remember that Adrian never intended to harm his son and deeply regrets the unintentional injury.”

Yeah, I'm sorry I just can't sympathize with AP on this one.. I have a 4.5 YO and lacerating him with a stick is just not going to discipline him much.. What ever ends up happening, AP's dirtbag meter just skyrocketed IMO.

I guess you could.. Although, he might not be playing much longer once these pictures and others start circulating all the social media sites.

I don't think the NFL wants to tarnish its image as an entity that welcomes child abusers.. especially if he ends up getting convicted of such!

I gave up on Adrian Peterson when I heard that he had at least 3, and possibly 5, children out of wedlock and hasn't seen a few of them more than a couple of times. They honestly don't even know how many illegitimate children he has. The New York Post ran a story on him and the first sentence was this: "Adrian Peterson is going for another MVP award these days - Most Virile Parent." I thought that was funny, but pretty sick, too.
