I have recently made great strides in my golfswing because of:

1.) About 10 lessons with a PGA pro

2.) Hitting balls almost everyday for a full year

3.) Doing a lot of trial an error

My current issue is my left leg. I feel like it caves in too much on my backswing which makes me lose my balance slightly which I think  causes some mishits from time to time(mostly strong pulls). However, this motion with my left leg feels natural and if I try to halt it the results weren't so great either. In general, if I don't make any changes Im an OK with where Im at. Im hitting the ball pretty solid a lot of the time. Should I concern myself with my leg caving in too much or should I just let it be?

Check out this thread.  If the left knee moves back during your backswing, you may have trouble getting your weight forward at impact.

By doing what the video shows is the back leg straitening on the back swing and how much should the left shoulder go down before it turns.

The front shoulder goes down as it turns.

Yes, it's straightening.
how much should the left shoulder go down before it turns.
Like @iacas said, the front shoulder moves down as it turns. You can probably get the front shoulder to go down without turning by tilting left, but that would have made for a really lousy Steady Head video.

Did play it last year for the first time and it is awesome.

    • Day 47: simulator day! Played St. Andrew’s and shot a +1. Not bad, especially with having to putt at this simulator set up. Had about 5 minutes at the end to work on some feels as well.
    • I think you're saying it's preposterous to think that the areas on this club are anything like what's shown here: 30mm toward the toe or heel loses only 5% distance? Highly, highly doubtful. So a guy who hits the ball there and normally hits the ball about 250… will hit it instead about 238. By missing the sweet spot by about 1.2 inches? Highly, highly doubtful. Heck, the high heel barely gets into the red, and orange is only "up to" 10%! @M2R, I've never heard of "Ask Golf Nut" but I'm dubious of his claims in the video and really, really dubious of what's on his site: "Why AskGolfNut Is the Most Trusted Data-Driven Golf Resource". Hmmmmmm.
