I'd have to go with the touch refined carbon.  Very slick. Worth the extra.

Isn't this the German putter that Duval began using?

Nice ... a little blocky looking in the Anser style.

I would say, no... unless you do something like Edel or get bought by Titleist (Scotty), it's tough for a small maker to go big.

I was watching shark tank, but had to turn to something else when he started with the BS weepy act. Clear to see that the sharks knew nothing about golf. Their whole sales pitch was that their putters were milled. Sharks weren't knowledgeable enough to ask them how their putters differed from the plethora of other high-end, milled putters already on a saturated market. Please tell me that no one invested in these knuckleheads!

In David's bag....

Driver: Titleist 910 D-3;  9.5* Diamana Kai'li
3-Wood: Titleist 910F;  15* Diamana Kai'li
Hybrids: Titleist 910H 19* and 21* Diamana Kai'li
Irons: Titleist 695cb 5-Pw

Wedges: Scratch 51-11 TNC grind, Vokey SM-5's;  56-14 F grind and 60-11 K grind
Putter: Scotty Cameron Kombi S

I guess this is not the German Putter Maker that Duval uses .... Germans neither cry... nor weep

Found it...

I read through the website. What even qualified this guy to get on the show? How is this putter appreciably different from any number of high-end putters, besides the price tag?

Offers:
Mark Cuban: No offer, because he hates golf.
Lori Greiner: Stick with Japan, because they love it. I’m out.
Robert Herjavec: $150,000 for 35%. It’s going to take time to recoup this.
Barbara Corcoran: I hate golf. I’m out.
Kevin O’Leary: There’s a distribution problem in the U.S. Your story moved me, but investments can’t be made on emotions. I’m out.

The team offered a counter to Robert’s deal, for 25%, and he met them in the middle at 30%.

Final accepted offer: $150,000 for 30% equity from Robert Herjavec.

The weepy sissy crap kind of turned me off of it.  But all it takes is them to get a well known pro to play it and get a win and they'll be set.

I'm sure they'll get a bump from the Shark tank episode too,  plenty of people out there with money that will drop a few bills on a putter.  Heck, my Scotty was $300.

The weepy crap turned me off, too, which is why I was starting a thread instead of watching it.  I'm not so sure they'll get a Shark Tank bump.  As others have pointed out, there's nothing special about their putter, and your Scotty is $200 less.  Also, Robert Herjavec obviously knows nothing about golf, golf equipment, or the industry.  I think this is a product where you never see a Shark Tank update because it went down in flames.

Cuban and Corcoran hate golf.  I was distracted from the show when they were expressing their opinions, but did those two really say they hate golf?  Did they say why?

Probably because they don't have the physical skill or talent to play golf. Never liked to play basketball, so I hate that too.

Funny how none of the Sharks asked the question they ask everybody else - "Do you have a Patent?". If they did, they would have realized that these guys had nothing special - just another handmade putter company making copies of existing designs. Maybe they were just dumb enough to think that these putters had some magical, game-improvement properties that would get the ball into the hole. I can see why most of their sales are in Japan. The Japanese market will appreciate finely crafted items that show off their "good taste". Honma golf clubs are a perfect example, with 24-carat gold hosel rings and customized bling. Every salaryman needs to have at least one Homna club in his bag to impress the boss the day he takes him out for that special day of golf.

I never got this mentality. I'm terrible at basketball...but I love to play/watch it.

The Mandala flange thickens as it gets deeper.  This moves the center of gravity back, increasing forgiveness and encouraging acceleration through the putting stroke .

Um.... if it's going to encourage a bad habit AND cost a lot I think I'll have to pass.

    • To flog this subject even further, if that's even possible, this article from Golf Monthly just appeared today in one of my news feeds. Written by a golf writer in the UK who I never heard of, he's basically saying that there should be only 3-5 rounds from the most recent 20 that should count towards the average and only competitive rounds should count. He claims the erratic scorers would have less of an advantage than they do now. He makes a lot of references to "club golfers" in the UK being the ones who are mostly dissatisfied. https://share.google/qmZZBEoJvOxHxJGil  In my experience with my league where we have golfers with indexes ranging from 5 to 40, looking at the weekly results from the past two years, I can detect no pattern that would substantiate the claim that the current system gives an unfair advantage to either erratic golfers (aren't we all?) or higher handicappers. Apparently though, at least in the UK, this seems to be "a thing."
